Langford will get fewer minutes than Nesmith imo.

We do not need more defense in the lineup when we are sporting Smart, Brown, Tatum. we need lethal shooting, which Romeo doesnt come close to bringing.

I will be shocked if Romeo plays more minutes than Nesmith this season.

I dont think so. History will tell you that good defense not good offense that will get you minutes in Brad's system.

That how IT got on the floor?

And Nesmith is a good defender, size is about the same as Romeo, weight is a little higher, speed and athleticism is comparable.
Lol. IT was averaging close to 30 points per game. You can't seriously be using him as your example here.

The answer is either Langford or Robert Williams. Some of you are still sleeping in Langford. The dude has a legitimate chance to be a top four player on this team within the next couple of years. Will it happen immediately? No, but he has already shown elite defensive potential, and I am confident his offense will come along.

IT got on the floor by being an elite scorer. That's a lot to ask of a rookie.
Not just a rookie. It's a lot to ask of anyone to average 29 points per game, and on ridiculous efficiency, no less.

has to be Romeo.  only 3 of those players figure to see any decent minutes this season: Romeo, GWill and Timelord.  GWill started hitting 3's later in the season so less to have to improve on to reach his expected peak.  Timelord showed improvement and I'm expecting more this coming year but I think it'll be incremental if at all.  Romeo has the most room for improvement/growth since he hardly played.  Basically, he's got nowhere to go but up.  he showed he can play solid D so he's likely to get minutes based on that and if he can show the same offensive skills he had in college plus a bit more polish, this kid is going to be a real solid contributor off the bench for us.

How many minutes (total) did Nesmith get in college? And how's that foot? To expect much of him this year considering the absurdly short offseason is dreaming a bit, IMO.

Meanwhile, I asked "leap". Curious more what people see in terms of guys who have already played in the NBA.

I voted for Langford .  Time lord needs the game to slow down for him and he needs to stay on the court , not a hospital.

Langford also fights the injury bug , was fairly steady when he got minutes ,  seemed to have a good court awareness and played nice defense at times.  Very smooth and in control.  Solid for a guy with so little nba court time.  He still reminds me of Evan Turner , but in a better less frustrating way ....i m happy to see Romeo in the game , he is less turn over prone i think or hope.

IT was an elite scorer, Nesmith an elite shooter. Elite skills get you floortime in the nba

It wasn't just the 30 points that got him minutes; he still played in his first season and a half here despite having lower volume and efficiency than he did in his 29ppg year. But asking someone to be as elite a scorer as even 2014-15/2015-16 Isaiah Thomas is a lot to ask of a rookie
I'm bitter.
