Why is everyone talking about Christian Wood. I think he is going to follow the path of inspired FA contract year and then pull into the Whiteside, Drummond category in terms of attitude.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
I feel like  I keep reliving the same/similar nightmare -- Celtics miss out on top FA; Celtics star signs with another team; Lakers sign elite FA; elite player gets himself traded to the Lakers... on and on.

Have to admit it felt good to get the Hayward and Kemba signings but C's (like most teams) always trying to hang onto to what they have, try to make up for roster losses, try to gebt better incrementally...  while elite players fall into the Lakers lap.

TP ....this is todays NBA ^

Maybe Ainge is just not as good as we think he is.

Put him in LA or NY and he'd have his pick of players.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

The Myles Turner trade has been in the news for awhile, with other pieces to fit the CBA requirements.

This particular trade, though, would be best case scenario for Celtics. We badly need a center upgrade and help off the bench.

This team can now belong to Smart and the J's - hope they have what it takes to go get banners.
The Four Celtic Generals:

Great trade!

Gives us a center and improves our bench.

Absolutely 100% agree !!

Looks now like Ainge pushed too hard with Indy and we ended up empty handed for the third time in a row. This was an absolute no-brainer for us.

Hayward was unrestricted. Indy and Boston could've agreed to whatever they wanted but if Charlotte's offer was higher, Hayward was going to Charlotte. Ainge's haggling has no place in this conversation.
