Philly sure are missing McConnell. Steady floor general who can manage an offence efficiently, and plays annoying defence. He was really solid at taking half-court playmaking duties away from Simmons too. Neto is simply not as good.

Not sure Rose is the answer though, especially given his durability.

Rose isn't the greatest from 3, and Philly need a perimeter threat. They'd be better off with Luke Kennard. Getting Rose would be like them getting Horford - he'd be insurance for Simmons getting injured. But Elton Brand has been known to build teams that fit oddly.
Yeah if they could get a guy who's a threat off ball and could run the PnR some it would be ideal. I don't think they have the picks or package to get Kennard. I think you'd have to really blow the Pistons away to get him.

Of course after I make a post crapping on McConnell I look up how he's doing with the Pacers. He's been fine there, solid backup.

So maybe its just unhealthy ecosystem in Philly was the issue that a replacement level offensive PG wasn't equipped to manage.

On their way to a 3rd straight 50+ win season.  Last time the Sixers did that was early to mid 80s.  What exactly does Brown have to answer for?
