If I recall, the Celtics lost the tiebreaker to Utah.

Not sure how high Ainge was on Exum but may have dodged a bullet by losing that tiebreaker.

Seems like we lose all the tie breakers. Last year included with our picks.

Surprised everyone has written Exum off as a bust. His glimpses have been electric.

Good luck to the kid.

I think it's very clear Exum is a bust.

A terrific athlete but not a terrific player.

He was a #5 pick in the league.

He is in his 6th year in the league.

In the first 5 years in the league out of 410 games he he missed 206 games.

For his career he is averaging 5.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists with shooting splits of 40.1/30.5/77.8 for a TS% of 50.1%.

His career advanced metrics are even worse than those box numbers.

He had lost his spot in the rotation this year, having a terrible year in extremely limited minutes.

Seems like overwhelming evidence that he is a bust.

I'm sure Exum will excel if it's only about running and jumping.

But as a basketball player, even Wanamaker is better than Exum right now.

Remember when Chad Ford was going on ESPN calling Exum a special player that was deserving of a top 3 pick in his mock drafts. Exum's agent didn't let him do anything for teams until at the combine. Teams had next to no good film on the kid, had limited workouts and just let the draftniks hype him ridiculously.

And....between injuries, lack of good court vision, lack of a good shot, BBIQ being massively overexaggerated and him being much more SG than PG....you can now safely label him a huge bust.
but hey, he has made about $35,000,000 in his brief career. let's give credit where is credit is due.  ;D

were i him, i wouldn't be too depressed.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

By your 6th year in the league, you need to show more than just glimpses. He could still turn out to be a player, but at this point he is a bust
I'm bitter.

Good move for both sides. Jazz get a bench scorer they need. Cavs get to take a flier on a guy who even if he isnt great on offense has shown some flashes of being a very good defensive player which they desperately need. They only pick up one extra year of salary of 9 million which given the week free agency class is really not much of a loss and get a couple of 2nd round picks for their trouble. All for a guy that wasn't that change anything for them this year, and wasn't sticking around past that. Good move on the margins.
