IIRC if he’s traded then cut we can sign him, but not sure how accurate that is.

The league has previously put out a statement saying that it is legal to do so, so it's definitely accurate. It seemed like there was no chance of him being traded when he was balling out, but maybe it'll happen

I think he'd be the perfect starting center for this team right now
Meh, he's fallen off due to injuries just like his prior years with the C's. Much like Theis he seems to wear down if he's played big minutes.

I'd love to have him but I think the overblown pining for him is silly.
Except he wouldn't have to play big minutes. He would be in a frontcourt rotation that also includes Kanter, Theis and Robert Williams.

Again, moot point because we can't get him anyway, but I'm not sure how people think he wouldn't fit perfectly here in a 15-20 minute role (with extended minutes against bigs like Embiid).

I can't explain it and don't have numbers.  I just feel good when Kanter is on the court.

Of course, Baynes would be great...but not gonna happen...
