1. With Al Horford assumed to be opting out and renegotiating longer term deal, and the potential of Kyrie bolting, what would that leave us to work with?

Even if we renounced all free agents the best we’d end up with in the $9 million MLE.

To have more space we’d need to trade players or draft picks, or have Horford walk away.

Yeah, we basically need to re-sign Rozier or Morris. If we don't, we will end up just below the cap and may actually have less money to work with than the MLE (since teams below the cap don't get the MLE) - which is about $9.2M this year.

Unless a team can clear substantial cap space, they are often better off operation just above the cap.
