Similar to the Chicago Bulls getting Michael Jordan in 1984, whom ever gets the opportunity to select Victor Wembanyama could see their franchise value double…that’s the gravity of this NBA Lottery.

I'm fine with Wemby going to Detroit or Charlotte. Would rather see him turn around loser franchises than give San Antonio yet another franchise player.
2021 Summer Fantasy Draft: Toronto Raptors
PG: Kyle Lowry / LaMelo Ball / John Wall
SG: James Harden / Anthony Edwards / Victor Oladipo
SF: Duncan Robinson / De'Andre Hunter
PF: Zion Williamson / TJ Warren
C: Nikola Vucevic / Jaren Jackson Jr / Thomas Bryant

Yeah, I don't want to see him go to San Antonio either.

All the credit that front office has gotten over the years ... I want to see them build a title contender without being gifted a #1 pick generational talent. Show me something. Show me you can build a top team without a Duncan or a D Robinson.

I have no faith in those franchises doing the right thing. Will be like LeBron in Cleveland the first time IMO - Wemby would likely drag them to the playoffs, but they’d always be too talentless to compete properly.

Detroit would be the biggest team in the league with Wemby alongside Duren, Wiseman, Bagley, and big guards in Cunningham and Ivey. If Duren, Cunningham, Ivey & Wemby all hit their potential that team would be awesome. But I don’t trust their coaching

I certainly hope so. That would be a nice young trio with Webanyama, Johnson, and Vasell. Charlotte would be interesting as well…

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I want Wemby in the West. Let Tatum and him have some classic finals in the future. Definitely dont want Detroit or Jordan getting him.

Personally, I'm rooting for Wemby to end up in Portland. The Lillard/Wemby fit would be fascinating (if they kept Lillard), but I'd actually assume that landing Wemby would make it much easier to deal Lillard thus setting him free. Also, they are owed some karmic justice after the Oden/Roy injury stuff last decade.

Also.... better he stay out west so the c's dont have to worry about him untill the finals.

Though it doesn’t seem likely this guy will drop to 3rd pick like Jordan.
Yup

That'd be something.  Getting Bedard & Wemby in the same offseason.
