Maryland with a solid win over Michigan State.  Nice start at 4-1.
Given Michigan State's terrible pass defense that was an easy pick.  Wonder if the Michigan State folks already have buyer's remorse on giving Tucker that ridiculous contract.

Arizona State, one of the worst P5 schools out there, is hanging with USC late in the second quarter.  I can’t imagine they’ll pull it off, but it’s surprising how close it is currently.

So far already 3 ranked teams have lost (Kentucky, Washington, Minnesota) and Oklahoma is down 55-24 lol so that'll be 4. And there'll definitely be some more later today going down
With 5 ranked pairings, you're guaranteed to have at least 5 ranked teams lose.  Minnesota, Washington and Oklahoma losing make it at least 8.

Yep, and we're currently at 8. NC State vs. Clemson is a guaranteed team losing too so that'll be 9

Lets see if there's any upsets tonight.
I wouldn't hold my breath for upsets.  The remaining games with a single ranked team are:

Georgia at Missouri
Georgia Tech at Pittsburg
Arizona State at USC
Stanford at Oregon

And just because you said that, here come 4 more upsets tonight
Georgia Tech won so I guess that is 10 ranked teams losing.

Two more teams, Colorado and Wisconsin, fire their head coaches.  That's 5 or 6 head coaches gone in 5 weeks and Harsin is still a dead man walking at Auburn.  If Bama gives A&M a beatdown, their boosters may pony up 80M to get rid of Jimbo.

Some of these teams are having atrocious starts to the season

But it does make college football exciting with all the upsets and smaller schools making "statements"

The Wisconsin one is a bit surprising, but Colorado has been terrible for a while.
I was finally wrong. Boston not only didn't win in 5, but didn't win at all.

Indiana just got screwed. Got a TD to go ahead 14-10 BUT after the play a Michigan CB and a few others were pleading with the refs to call an offensive PI, then after like 2-3 minutes and some replay they threw the flag to negate the score. Huh??

They didn't get screwed.  One of the Indiana players was blocking down field before the pass was completed.  Doing so is an offensive PI except on screen passes.

Right but the refs missed that early, then basically did a whole review after Michigan players complained and changed it 3 minutes later. How often do you see that happening on bad calls that the refs listen to an opposing player and then spend 5 minutes reviewing it without some challenge. Pretty rare.

Have some friends at the BC Red Bandana game (alumni and/or just folks who root for BC and live nearby). Somehow that's still just a 1-score game at halftime.

In fact a lot of games this evening, including ones projected to be blowouts are very close. Technically speaking, all Top-15 teams playing right now are at a decent risk of losing (including Alabama, USC, Clemson - Top 6 Teams). I expect most of them to win but still, maybe we see some upsets
