If he can put up Blazers numbers then why not.

Kanter is a good 3rd center. Too bad C's botched things last year with going after TT.

Kanter was a great locker room presence, unlike TT. Welcome back!

I wonder if Kanter will just hot potato the remainder of his career between Boston and Portland

I like Kanter. Everyone else seems to like him to. He's got his flaws but he's got his skills, too. At the minimum, I like having him back.

Yes, welcome back, welcome back Kotter, I mean Kanter.

Difference in player quality sure but the NBA seems willing to overlook Lillard and Steph's defensive flaws and instead, celebrate their offence. With that being the case, Kanter should be in the same basket because his work on the boards and offensively is very good.

I'm happy with the signing.  He's virtually unplayable in the playoffs because his defensive liabilities are easy to exploit, but he can help a lot in the course of the regular season grind.  He's also a good dude.

Welcome back Kanter.

Nice, I'm glad he's back. He was reasonably valuable to us last year as a situational big, and someone who could be guaranteed to get buckets / disrupt opponent's runs by giving us second chances with his offensive rebounding. He puts forth effort and has a great attitude. Having seen him and TT in back to back years, I feel this is an upgrade from TT. Slightly worse perimeter defense (both are pretty terrible, IMO), but a MUCH better scorer and offensive rebounder, and has the mass to bang with the big boys.

I've always prescribed to the idea of having third stringers with one elite skill, whether it's shooting, perimeter defence, or in Kanter's case, offensive rebounding and putbacks.

Gives us the flexibility to spice things up

What’s more surprising is Brad didn’t really play Enes when he was here. So why is he now bringing this guy back? These are perplexing moves.

To defend Embiid.

I liked what Kanter brought when he played for us.  But am I misremembering?  I thought Embiid torched Kanter when they were matched up?  Honest question for all, not being sarcastic.

He torched theis whenever they matched up. He had to battle for it vs kanter and kanter also had monster game vs embiid.

Also lol those who said brad didnt olay kanter. He played him pretty much in good matchups but he gets played out of the rotation vs certain teams. Its how you play a guy like him

Hopeless PnR defender, but elite rebounder and low post scorer. I like him a lot as a backup option. Welcome back, Enes!

Certainly is proud of being a Celtic. Which is fun. His locker-room presence seems like the anti-Thompson
