Enough about the complaining over a 15-0 run. Milwaukee is a great offensive and good defensive team. Runs should be expected.

Is Milwaukee bad or mentally weak or whatever some are saying about the C's because they gave up a 17-4 run?

Bucks were missing and then hit some. These things are going to happen.

13-5 on fouls with a 14 - 2 free throw disparity. No biase there whatsoever  ::)
I mean, that’s the game of each team so why act surprised?

I mean, are you watching the game? Giannis initiates virtually all of the contact himself, and he always leads with an off-arm, let alone the extra steps he takes fifty percent of the time. It's their game because Giannis gets more leeway with the refs than any other player in the league, even when at least a third if not more of his drives should be called offensive fouls with his off-arm leading.

Baynes only played 8 minutes -- Al played 15.  There's going to be a tough stretch in the 2nd half when Giannis gets going and Al needs rest.

Minutes leaders for the C's in the first half:  Morris with 19 and Hayward with 18.

Either way, this will be a fun 6-7 game series. Already an exciting start.

Welp, shooting 5-17 on threes and we're up 2 at the half due to superb D and getting GREAT looks. And they're even shooting a pretty decent percentage from three, most of their makes being contested, hard looks.

I like our chances. As I've been arguing over the past few weeks, while Milwaukee is very good defensively, they protect the paint more than the perimeter, which is where we make our living.

Once we start hitting some more of these shots, I think it's clear we're the better team.

My read so far is that the way the first half went will only work out in our favor if Giannis continues to struggle.

If Giannis gets hot, gets to the line a bunch, wears out our defenders, the "all jumpers all day" offense is not going to be able to keep pace.

Baynes is our first half plus minus leader too, with a +11

Exactly. We haven't generated fouls all year long. Either theres a massive nba conspiracy or we just dont get t the line. I'm fine with the way they called it on BOS, although maybe they were a little generous with the Bucks whistles especially for Bledsoe.

You don't get to the line if you don't create convincing contact inside.

The Celts don't, haven't done so all year long, and aren't doing it so far in this game.

Yes -- runs happen.  The "mentally weak" rush to judgement is based on a season of giving up large leads.  This may be different -- I really didn't see the same kind of defensive and offensive breakdown we've seen during the season, but the outcome was reminiscent of the season's pattern.

I expect Irving to be Irving in the 4th. But we're going to need someone between Horford and Tatum to step up as well. These are our Top-3 options and we need 2 of them to carry us now.

I mean, he's struggling directly because of our defense against him. We've pretty much nullified his offense in the halfcourt set, and he's only been scoring in the open court and extended fastbreak due to his specific limitations as an offensive player. I see no reason why things would change, unless we start having more live ball turnovers and bricking more shots.

If we hit more of our threes in the second half and they predictably stop hitting these crazy contested threes, I think you see us take control of the game. We just have to keep our intensity level up defensively.

Stop being a pessimist!   ;)

Gotta get Tatum going in the second half. He's just 1-3 so far.
