Mook and Kyrie didn’t communicate on that last possession, Kyrie was with Capela so Mook went to switch and didn’t tell Kyrie who had to run to Paul who drove past him and passed out for a 3
a 15 year old child could tell that that is no way to "close out" on the 3pt line...that was patetic by kyrie

all Kyrie does is switch to the point he tries to guard the easiest situation (player on top of the key waiting for a pass)

He is never involved around the action. Doesn't backpeddle to try to strip the ball, or take a charge or grab an offensive rebound

pure shortcut defense
That must be why he averages 1.6SPG, is top 25 in the league in deflections, is 7th in the league in loose balls recovered and is top 25 in charges drawn per game. All those shortcuts

watch the game

you telling me he is playing inspired exceptional defense tonight??

be real
No, tonight he is playing garbage defence like basically everyone else on the team.

You're the one saying things like "he's never ____" which is provably incorrect. Criticise all who are playing badly, not just the players you irrationally hate

what are you talking about

Tatum is "Trying" he is guarding Paul, Gordon....

Who is Irving guarding?  D'antoni?

he is not doing anything on the defensive end. Might as well just place a pilon on the court
Tatum is trying on defense? When? He has been a defensive sieve for over a month.

His lack of defensive effort has hurt my eyes recently.
I was sort of jokingly comparing him to Melo earlier this season.

Now I don't know if he'll even be that.

I’m numb to this team now so whatever happens happens.

I'm getting to be that way, mainly to protect myself.

Idk I have a morbid fascination with looking for all our defensive mistakes..I’m kind of watching this dispassionately right now because I’ve given up on regular season I want to see if they will fix these issues for the playoffs

as bad as this garbage is

it was worse here rebuilding in 2014, 2015 and 2016

2017 ECF

2018 ECF...........

2019? LOL
don’t forget the mid 90s the Pitino years lol those were horrible

Those rebuilding teams are good to watch because they bust their butts to play hard and were ranked in the top 10 defensively. This team doesn't seem to have a heart. I don't know why/

They may turn up the effort in the playoffs but effort isn’t going to put the ball into the basket consistently. This was supposed to be the best offensive team the C’s have had in a long time yet here we are again struggling. 29th in the league at FT attempts? I’m kinda done with this offensive philosophy.

He is in a stance, arms open.... "trying"

What is Irving doing??

whenever a Rocket player gets the ball .... Irving runs away from such player like its a virus

This is leadership?

Why is Baynes getting shots?

He can't POSSIBLY be worse than anyone else on this team.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

As much as I love Tatum, he's looked off for a while now.

Why do they continue to switch on Harden???

It's not rocket science, and it's something that kills us every single time we play Houston until Brad makes the decision to keep Smart on Harden and not switch him. Yet every single time we start off playing right into their hands and switching. It's just mind-numbingly dumb decision-making, even though we have seasons' worth of evidence it does not work.

Chipping away.  We're quietly putting together a good quarter.  Finish the quarter strong.
