What is AD's fascination with the Lakers?

Honest question. I keep hearing how he wants to play only for the Lakers, but I've never heard why. Is it mainly because that's what his agent wants? AD is from Chicago and played at Kentucky, and the only big draw for the Lakers right now is an injured 34-year-old who could finally be falling off a cliff.

Also, every time a big name player becomes available they get linked to the Lakers ... I think these stories get fueled by their agents and family / friends close to the player.

You misspelled "Rich Paul and Lebron" as "AD."

EDIT: Ultimately, I think AD is fine with either LA or Boston. He knows that both his short- and long-term success of winning is better with Boston, but it might be that the "other stuff" makes LA nearly as attractive.

But ultimately none of this matters, as it's the Pelicans who ultimately hold the cards, and it seems like they are leaning toward waiting until the summer for Boston.

I don't think we are even sure that AD is fascinated with the Lakers so much is his agent is Lebron's best friend so his agent wants him to play with him.
