The problem is that he's bad.

Is he really that bad?  He sure is annoying.   But he always seems to hit big shots and come up with big plays against us.
This is me not looking at any actual stats or data.

Revised opinion_____
Ok, this is where looking at stats would have actually helped me.  his stats make it look like he would be behind yabu in the rotation.
He killed us at times in the playoffs last year, but that just isn't who he is overall.

I'd give Semi or Yabu for him.

I'm certain that I wouldn't give up Semi for him.

And actually neither would I trade Yabusele for him. Yabusele is a better fit for us.

He's probably that bad.

Against us he has looked pretty good, but what I've read from Bucks' fans is that he just doesn't know how to play and they just consider it funny that he wants out or even pleasant news, since they might get out of his contract (he's paid 5 million next year). They hope for a sucker (in particular Orlando GM Hammond) to actually give up something valuable for him.

Not needed.

If Celts going after a big, right now Vucevic is the best big available.

he won't get any minutes here, so no point trading for him.
he wants to play a lot and get paid, considering he's more like 24-25 years old, it's understandable.

I would send Yabu to them because Thon is the better player.  They would not take that offer is my wager.

Thon is a better athlete. taller, just as mobile  and better three point shooter.   How is that not a better fit, what are you basing this on conjecture?

I get it.  He wants to play, because he wants to get paid.  But man I hate it when guys try to force themselves off winning franchises.

This is my thought as well. You're 21 and on one of the best teams in the league with a chance to go to the Finals and you'd rather go somewhere where you can play more and lose more. I don't like it.

And it wouldn't make sense for the Celtics anyway because he's not taking minutes away from the top 4 bigs in the C's rotation.

If the Celts don't make a move to free up more minutes for Brown and Hayward, a Celtic player will sooner or later ask for a trade also.

Maker is young and needs to be guided properly.

ever since he forced himself in joining the draft even though he wasn't ready, he already has some issues.

Playing for Australia, got himself involved in a melee free for all fist fight with an asian team in the FIBA.

Now on a winning team and ridiculously wants out even though he has not proven anything yet...And I thought several yrs ago coming out he will be next KG or something...lol

Yes I think he's got a slightly inflated view of his own importance.

Re: that brawl, it was insane wasn't it. It was against the Philippines team in the FIBA qualifiers.

Young players should be more focused on improving their own game and then complain about things like this

It is easier to improve when you play more.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

It's not like JB for example doesn't play enough and unless i am mistaken it's not like he has a carrier year too.

Surprise that he is isn't part of their plans.
He performed reasonably well in the playoffs last 2 years.
