I really believed Ainge would move assets for a legit guard/forward who could drive and pass to pair with Kyrie.  I assumed it would be Jimmy Butler or Paul George, or Kawhi but there were other possibilities out there that would have also worked.  I never in a million years thought the guy who blew up a championship team for Jeff Green would sit on his hands for two years while superstar after superstar were moved for paltry sums.

I was right about Sacremento being good, I was right about Hayward being bad, and I was right about this team having a worse record than last year, but being right in those areas also sucks so I count those as losses as well.

Mostly about us...

I thought we were going to be near '08 good this year. Man was I ever wrong. I thought Jaylen Brown would take another step up, not regress. But to be fair his role has been severely diminished this year. I thought Gordon Hayward would be MUCH further along by now, he really hasn't progressed much at all so far.

I didn't like Marcus Morris last year to the point where I thought we should trade him, but man is he good this year.

Pretty much everything. ;D

Yeah... And they'll have the same number of guys playing in the all-star game this year as they had that year...

Thanks for reiterating my point for me.

Not sure if this is serious or a comedy bit?

Like everyone else, I’m surprised by the Celts and Kings.

I thought Washington would be better, although I was confident that D12 would be a negative. I didn’t expect New Orleans to be second worst in their conference, although the West is bunched.

I didn’t think Draymond Green would be as downright bad as he’s been.

I thought jaylen would see his numbers dip with his scoring dropping to around 12 per game, Tatum would see his numbers rise and be a top 2 option averaging nearly 20, Hayward would be months away from playing like a star and probably start the season on a minutes restriction, Williams would spend the majority of time in G-League, the kings would have a strong chance to play better than people expected with Hield making a 3rd year leap and Fox making a 2nd year leap, there was a strong chance jaylen would end up getting moved to the 6th man role because the pieces didn’t fit, and that our path to the finals wouldn’t be paved in gold.

I didnt expect the Kings to be THAT good though.  And I didn’t expect Brown to be THAT bad.   I also thought there was a reasonable chance Tatum would be playing like a star right now and he’s not quite there.  I thought there was a reasonable chance our entire starting lineup would be shooting roughly 40% from three and that hasn’t happened.  I didn’t expect that Time Lord would be as entertaining as he’s been.

Basically nothing has surprised me about this season, but it’s still disappointing as hell to see all the worst case scenarios come true.

So basically you were right about everything except one thing but that's Danny's fault cause he should have done better. Cool story bro.

I think your point was that Danny has been sitting on his hands for 2 years not making roster moves, and Pho shared a roster from 2 years ago that has been almost completely turned over.  Left between the lines is the near obvious conclusion that the roster of 2 years ago is far worse than today’s.  If you don’t see the improvement, that’s fine, but I think many would disagree.

I like to emphasize the positives, so I’ve created a list of everything that I’ve been right about:
