“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”
Do you agree with this statement?
Absolutely agree with this. But why lie about the people in this caravan and their intentions? Why decry them all as criminals and say Middle Easterners are in the caravan? Why make it out like this caravan is going to be here any day when it's 1000 miles away and moving very slowly?
These are people running from crime, poverty and starvation and want a better life for them and their children. This is not the first time people fled their countries looking for a better life in America. Heck, America was founded exactly because of this.
I am not for completely open borders. The borders need to be defended. But this is also a human issue and we should maybe be look at it under a different light than just, people who try to get into the country from Central and South America are murders, rapists, gang members, and Middle Eastern terrorists coming here to ruin, live off and destroy our country when the opposite is exponentially the truth. They come here and want to work hard, become American citizens, contribute to our society and live the same American dream that Irish, Italian, German, English, Chinese, Mexican, etc. immigrants did before them did and were welcomed in.
