Our healthy Celtics team would kick the ass of a healthy Golden State team. No doubt.
take a break from hitting the hindu kush son. we have no proof of that.
We went 1-1 with them last year and literally matched them point for point, all while not having Hayward for both games nor Smart for the second game. And Tatum and Brown will only get better. That’s some substantial evidence in our favor.
GS is one suspension away from being the NBA champions 4 times in a row, is coming off back-to-back titles, and just added Demarcus Cousins, who's one of the top 3 centers in the game today, if he comes back at 100%. That's far more substantial evidence not in the Celtics favor.
I hate that mentality.
What was their excuse for losing game 6 and especially game 7 at home? Want to talk about the injuries to Kyrie in 2015, Kawhi in 2017, and CP3 in 2018?
We have no idea how DMC will return or how he’ll fit in (on and off the court). I think it’s very telling if he really didn’t get an offer from anyone else.
I think this is something a lot of people are missing in the surprise of the news. Cousins didn't go to GS because he wants to win a ring or because he wants to rehab his image. He went to GS because he couldn't find a single team that would pay him more than the mid-level. Teams around the league looked at his medicals and his track record and no one bit. Maybe he'll come back strong and focused but it's probably more likely he doesn't.
As for how close the Warriors are to being 4-0 in the last 4 years... Those things cut both ways. What if the Cavs had Kyrie and Love in '15? What if OKC hadn't blown the 3-1 lead in '16 and Durant never comes? It wouldn't take many changes (to things GS doesn't control) to make them 0-4. But that's not what happened. What happened is they won 3 of the last 4 championships. No more, no less.
