Danny’s unicorn gets away again

Go get Howard to counter.

Tbh, I'm not sure who will really be more effective next year. A hobbled Cousins might be easier to go up against than an engaged athletic specimen in Howard. It might actually work out better for us that they 'chose' Cousins over Howard.

Actually, the fact that Cousins was available for just 5M and Danny was interested is really surprising. This FA has been filled with surprises honestly.

Now I'm curious to see what happens in the Dwight Howard saga. Surely Ainge has to be on top of that (at least doing his HW and such).

i prefer a healthy DMC over Howard.

DMC fits way better than Howard in our offensive system, but the fact that he's not going to be 100% means that Howard might actually be worth it. We're seeing GS in the finals now...we need another big besides Baynes who can bang. Unfortunately, Dwight is that guy.

Technically neither fit Golden State, but they still got Cousins. If C's are serious about a run at winning Banner 18, they need to consider Howard IMHO. At least take a low-risk chance.

Boogie is no Unicorn. He's a poor man's Embiid who's unwilling to commit on D.

A Healthy Cousins is a poor man's Embiid?

C'mon.

WOW Cousins is gonna be a LOT to handle!  Warriors will be steamrolling people.  Wouldn't be surprised if they beat their own 73 win record and get the Trophy this time.

Errr, is Dwight Howard still available for say 5m dollars?

There's some reports saying Cousins may be out until February. Warriors will obviously still be fine then.

UPDATE: Now Woj saying he's hoping to come back December or January. I'd say January is more likely. They won't rush him.

How long will he be out of shape? How long until he gets his rhythm back?

Of any shot in the Warriors scheme, as a coach I'd filter the ball into Cousins against one-on-one coverage (against Baynes?) and force an out-of-shape guy to try to create.

I think these were the only 2 offers

Espn on tv says he didn't get any offers. New Orleans did not make an offer. Cousins became very emotional about not getting offers

Warriors make more sense than us for any center.

We have Horford, Baynes, Theis, and now Williams.

Warriors have who?

Wow, that's harsh for Cousins.

Lakers WERE sure they were getting Boogie ....

Its all they talk about ......oh we got the best player in the world and EVErYBODY wants to play with Le Whine ...our new hero.

Don't they realize , few players very have actually liked Lebron to any amount that had to play with him on the same team.   They all suck up and then amitt he is a spoiled  diva when they leave .

Lkaers fans are morons .  They are sure they are beatin the Warriors and La is the greatest place to live.....yeah right ....they can keep the Whiner and CA.

Yeah, we have more than enough bigs for our system, so long as they stay relatively healthy.

And I'll take Baynes over Howard any day. While not as athletic, he's a better team defender, and he actually somewhat spreads the floor now (even just from the midrange) and isn't a liability at the free throw line. He's also a locker room positive rather than a negative.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
