Paul has been trying to recruit James to Houston but is telling the Rockets that James doesn't like Houston and is unlikely to go there. Also confirmed that James prefers LA.  An Akron Beacon Journal writer also conformed that James said on the Cavs visit to Houston this year that he hated the city.

So it appears CP3 will be back and LeBron won't be joining him, at least right now

Isn’t SAS the source on that?

That said, as far as cities go, Houston is pretty horrible. I don’t blame him.

Yea it seems kind of like Lebron to LA is a done deal per the latest odds with a very small chance of Cleveland. Everything else seems dead.

Is Houston actually bad??

The only time I've "been" in Houston was twice in the airport during 1.5 hour layovers (round trip) LOL (back in early-March during an alternative spring break trip).

Airport looked really nice (better than Logan to be honest), but I will say flying in and out from Houston, from above there was a lot of brown water and mud it seemed. Maybe lasting effects of the hurricane that hit there almost a year ago?

Houston is an awful city.

Especially compared to a paradise like Cleveland.

Cleveland isn’t much better but lifestyle wise Houston is the worst option of all.

He grew up near Cleveland.  Cleveland is home.  Friends.  Family. Can’t blame the guy if he doesn’t wanna spend time in a city he hates.

It is. My brother lived there for a few years, and my cousin still does.

I can’t speak for an extremely rich person, but for the middle class it’s a sprawling city with little public transportation. There’s no real “downtown”, and there’s a ton of poverty and crime.  For such a large city, there is relatively little nightlife, world class restaurants, etc.

I think it’s my least favorite large city I’ve been to.
