Just for fun

I can see Brown/Smart duo becoming redundant

...and therefore at least one of them being traded

What say you?  you make two selections if you like

In the strict definition of redundant, the closest I could get was Tatum/Hayward. Though Tatum will have to improve his skills as a distributor to make that the case.

Rozier and Smart are more complementary of each other than redundant, though trade wise one can be lost with other getting lots of the minutes of the one who leaves....but that's not the same as redundant....just positional coverage ability.

True.

What I mean; since KLeonard is superman and can do the job of two, then in theory he can replace X and Y player....and getting the same or better production in return.

Leonard is quite skilled and I can see him replacing Hayward/Tatum as well.

you can pick two combinations if you like...

None of the above. I think individually Jaylen would be the player that Leonard would make redundant if anything, but it wouldn’t be due to our existing pieces. That’s probably moot, though, as I don’t see any scenario in which Leonard and Brown are both on the Celtics. Trading Kyrie or Hayward for him is counterproductive, and Tatum is essentially untouchable. I don’t see any other players landing Kawhi as the centerpiece.

Going to a Flag Day parade/fireworks show this evening with some family and friends. Of course it will probably be during that time Woj and/or Shams post extremely juicy trade rumor content involving the C's

I reject the premise of this question. Good players are never redundant. You literally can't have enough goood wings for example.

I see no value in possibly having 2-3 All-Stars on the injured list for most of the season. No to any Kawhi trade options.

No such thing as two many two-way wings. You could literally have two point guards, two centers, and 11 swingmen on your roster and be fine.

If we managed to land Kawhi for the low price of a marcus smart (sign and trade), Rozier, yabu, Morris, and picks... that actually moves Jaylen brown to the bench.  He’d be our 6th man.  That’s kinda why some people can stomach moving Jaylen.
