If they do, a team of Davis, James, and bunch of misfits doesnt scare me..be 6th or 7th seed..Melo is not player he once was..James if getting old and those PEDs gotta catch up with him
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

It is realistic Boston is going to make 3 picks in the first round this draft. Yeesh...a younger team gets younger.

Kyrie, Gordon and Al would be huge going forward. Rozier prolly exits as a RFA and I would like to see Morris resigned in that situation. Just hope Kyrie doesn't bail.

Loosing Kyrie for nothing would hurt. I would be happy keeping Rozier as insurance. I bet the Celtics could keep him for 15 mil / season.

I suppose we might be able to sign and trade Kyrie for a couple assets. Still I think there is a good chance Kyrie stays based on how good our team is at the end of the playoffs.

i am actually scared of Deandre Jordan, Davis and Lebron if they get them both. Jordan would be very good compliment to Davis.

I still think Tatum + Smart + Williams + 3 or 4 #1s beats that offer, and that’s not even our best package.

Who is going to the Knicks with Kyrie? Durant is not leaving GS. Neither is
Klay. Leonard is going west. That leaves Kemba and there isn't enough shots to go round.

So Kyrie leaves a loaded young Celtics with an improved Hayward to go rebuild in NYC? I do not buy that at all.

Just heard on NBA radio that the Lakers have offered:
Baall, Kuzma, Ingram, Stevenson, Rondo & Beasley plus two 1st round picks (no details)

for Davis & Solomon Hill (bad contract)

I think they will take it.

If I am New Orleans, this package is the baseline of what I would accept for Davis. It's a pupu platter of young role players with very low likelyhood of becoming all stars, along with a couple draft picks in the 20s and salary cap relief veterans.

There is not a single all star in that package to build around. Boston can still beat that offer with a package that includes Tatum (high likelyhood of being an all star soon) and the Memphis pick (assuming it roles over a year), plus a combination of other players picks.

If I am NO, I still wait to hear the best offers at draft time / this summer. I think he Lakers package will still be there.

The Pels should demand Zubac and Hart instead of Ball.

Can't see Lonzo and Daddy Ball wanting to be in the NOLA market.

If I am the Pels, I think long and hard on the Fakers offer that includes Kuzma, Ingram, Zubac, Hart, 4 picks and the fillers that give me cap relief.

If Pels wait till summer, would we be able to include cap relief for them as it's a new season? if not, Fakers offer looks pretty good.

Vegas has LA leading in the odds of landing Davis .   Well anyways last i looked .

Lebron working over time on the problem.   It could cost his career many many million and might just throw a cold towel on it.

The Lakers' ideal is obviously to get Davis now and use him and LeBron to lure in Kawhi in the offseason. I wonder how much taking on Hill's $ would affect that. If they cash out all their picks getting Davis I'm not sure what they'd be able to give to get someone to take on that deal.

Anyone know how hard it'd be to finagle their way into a max salary slot in that scenario?

What can Clippers offer? That would pee off James if they got him and Leonard
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I agree. The Celtics should easily have a better package then the Lakers.

Ultimately I think Ainge has to get permission to talk to Davis directly and talk about his potential commitment to the Celtics and get a good feel for wether it is worth trading Tatum in the package for Davis.

I am cool with whatever Ainge does based on that possible chat.

Klay definitely re-ups with GS as long as they don't mess around with his negotiations ( like not offering him the max out of the gate), but I don't know about Kevin. I think he's gone. I don't think his ego's rebounded from the crap he's taken since leaving OKC for GS.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

If the Lakers give up all that, I could see the result being similar to a combination of the Knicks after they traded for Melo and the Cavs after they traded for Love.

Bare, aged, good for headlines, not good for basketball.

The Cavs did trade for Love, but they only had to give up a few busts (Wiggins, Bennett) for him.

But I also see us as the Warriors in that scenario, who refused to give up far superior talent, and ended up making a dynasty.
