10 for sure but last night I never thought we would revert to the old Knicks/Heat offense of eons ago. UGLY but 10 was in the bag and it involved proven and tried star vets. Last night was amazing up and coming youth thrown into the hurricane Lebron/NBA show.

Controversy, referee, can be frustrating.
However, a team that committed suicide in a game 7 is by far the one that hurts the most.
We could have lost 4-0 vs Houston or GS I couldn't give a [dang].
But this way of losing game 7 vs a bad cavs team?
I'm still in shock. It hurts so much.

agreed. look  we would not be so disgusted had we lost to philly or cavs in 4. it is the fcat we had lebron on the ropes yet again and could not finish the deal. we beat them 3 straight home games that were not really close. the 2012 team eeked out two of their 3 wins, not this team. we folded on the road and could not beat them a 4th time at home. yep. unbelievable. we had the series won if we make layups in game 4 or play smart in game 6 or 7. that is why people are irate now. we were the better team. a crap cavs team was allowed to come back and beat us.  i wanted the east title this year and the finals experince for the kids oh well.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

2010 by a wide margin.

then 2012

then another wide margin

2018

I'd add I was super frustrated with 2011 I thought if Rondo was healthy we could have beat the Heat that year too.

Exactly.
2010 is a deep wound, but I was proud of the team, they gave their best.
I'm a Celtics fan because it's all about pride.
A game 7 like this 2018 one is the opposite of being a Celtics. The entire season they came down from bad performance always to give them a chance to win the game.
It is disgusting to lose that way.
I hope that the players feel very bad and seek to their stomach and will remember that day the rest of their career, because if they do feel that way, I'm sure Celtics will win titles as soon as next year.
But right now I can't be in a mood like "it's okay future is bright, they overachieve anyway".
You have to STOP now people, PLEASE. Face it, we failed miserably, take it humbly, don't hide from it.

Game 7 against the Lakers in 2010. Without a doubt. We were literally one quarter away from winning the title that year.

I know that the loss against Cavs is painful but let us be a bit realistic. Our guys did incredibly well this year considering that Irving, Hayward etc. were out with injuries but I don't think that we would have fared well in a Finals series against the Warriors.

We led the lakers by 13 going into 4th.

Ummm no.

We were up merely 4 pts and needed a double digit lead because we all knew the refs would call it for the Lakers late.

2010 was easily the worst loss but not from a team’s effort/execution stand point...just the pain and disappointment.

Our guys got robbed that year.

2010 was the worst. Then 2010. Third worst was also 2010.

2010 to Lakers + 1973 to Knicks in ECF because Havlicek was hurt.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, and now 2018.

Good point about 2009. Even though we were down KG and Powe that year, I fully expected us to at least make it to the East Conference Finals against LeBron. Instead, we went home early because the entire team did not show up in Game 7 at home against Orlando.

2010 was a ref job unseen since Lakers vs Kings western conference finals. Hurts worse on that bunch of Gasol BS free throws... I will never watch that one again.
