I don't see the Clips accepting that offer.  Maybe the Grizzlies do, but obviously moot if the Clips don't.  Would be absolutely huge if Danny could pull that off though

I feel like we might have to sweeten the pot a bit for LAC. Maybe the pick of theirs that we own? Or something of similar value. I would absolutely love Beverley here though. Fiery, defensive monster who can shoot the 3.

I could honestly see Memphis taking that. With Gasol and Conley I doubt that they're going to try and rebuild. If they keep Evans and draft a guy who can contribute on the wing (a Bridges maybe?) they could be solid.

I also love the rotation this leaves us with.

As you listed, this rotation is crazy:
Irving/Beverly/Larkin
Brown/Smart/Bird
Hayward/Ojeleye
Tatum /Bagley /Yabusele
Horford/Baynes/Theis

Versatility at the bigs, where we could go with Tatum at the 4 (which is probably what I'd do) and Horford, or Horford and Baynes, or Bagley and Horford as you have listed. Would be awesome.

Or even a guy like Jaren Jackson or Bamba. Any of those 3 would be wicked

I’m strongly of the opinion that Rozier is worth #12 on his own.  He’s a legit NBA starting PG today, and still ascendant.  He’s cheap next year (will make less than #12), and can be under his new team’s control for at least 5 more years.  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a pretty commonly mocked player at #12, and I think the Clippers would feel they made a good selection if he followed Rozier’s career arc to date.

Given that thought, I think Morris and #27 for Beverly is a gross overpay.  I don’t really think you need Beverly, but if you want to go that route, Morris straight up is more than reasonable.

Finally, I think that #12 + two semi-protected picks from teams in the top half of the lottery is way too much to go to #4.  I would not do that deal.

TP. I like moving Bagley behind in the rotation and Tatum to the 4 position.

Think of that deal from LAC perspective. They get a younger PG to take over for Beverly and a highly serviceable SF/PF in Morris. With pick 13 behind that, it makes it more palatable.

I think you might have read my message incorrectly. The deal to move up to pick 4 was Sacramento pick + Pick 12 for Pick 4 coming from Memphis (not the Memphis Pick too).

That justification for Rozier is fair, but when guys like Teague (much more lengthy and consistent body of work, 1 time All-Star) only netted Atlanta the #12 pick back in '16, I feel like for a guy like Rozier it might need a bit more to sweeten it. Although, that being said, Rozier's value is currently sky-high.

Maybe Rozier & Morris for Beverley & #12?

Plus, it was only #12 and the SAC pick for #4, not two picks + #12. That seems reasonable to me

My ideal offseason is pretty similar to this.  The biggest difference being I don’t think we’d be able to move up much from #12.  #12 and the Memphis Pick could maybe get us up to #9 where Wendell Carter may be.  I prefer Mo Bamba but that would require moving up to the top 6 and I don’t think any of those teams would be movitated enough by the Kings or a Grizzlies Pick to move all the way down to #12 which is about the point of this draft where there is a massive drop off of talent.  Maybe if a top 6 team falls in love with Sexton, or Williams or another prospect but I doubt a franchise would pass up on a franchise changing player in the top 6 of this draft.

My trade ideas were:

Terry Rozier, #27 pick, 2019 Clippers Pick for Patrick Beverly and #12

#12 and the Memphis Pick for #9 and draft Wendell Carter

Guerschon Yabusele and Abdel Nader for Dewayne Dedmon (opts in to player option). The idea behind this trade would be as a replacement for Aaron Baynes which would free up the MLE for another shot creator off the bench (Tyreke Evans).

Al Horford.            Wendell Carter.   Dewayne Dedmon
Jayson Tatum.       Marcus Morris.    Daniel Theis
Gordon Hayward.  Tyreke Evans.      Semi Ojeleye
Jaylen Brown.       Marcus Smart.     Jabari Bird
Kyrie Irving.         Patrick Beverly.    Shane Larkin

Actually, that team would probably be way to deep !!!!  Not enough playing time for everyone but this exercise demonstrates the many possibilies available for the Celtics this offseason.  ;D
