I'll take both on this team. Green and Rondo would be absolute worldstoppers on our team. Give us that extra intensity that we're looking for. Now we just need Perkins to go back into a time machine, lost 25 pounds, and smile less.

Rondo, absolutely.

Green, definitely not.

Call me crazy, but I prefer to actually like the players on the team I root for. There are some guys I would never want in green and Green is definitely one of them (all-time is Wade though).

You wouldn't want 3x Allstar, 1x time DPOY, and 7x First All-Team defense, just because you don't like him? Funny. A lot of people said the same exact thing about Kyrie. Oh how people change their tunes quickly..

Green reminds me a lot of KG. Someone you would hate on your team, but once he joins your team, you absolutely fall in love with him.

Except he's unlikable on and off the court, although I would lie if I told people that he wouldn't help this team. At least Rondo never show his junk on social media or kick player in the nuts.

My problem with Green is he talk too much despite just being a 5th option. KG and to some extent Rondo carried a team on their backs. Draymond just ride behind KD, Klay and Steph and he wasn't the primary focus on defense.

You don't know what you're talking about.

I do. What about you?

Did Draymond scored 44 pts in a single playoff game? Or controlled the entire team offense and dictated the entire game's pace? He's a great defender and very versatile big man. But he's not a creator. He's just a facilitator with many options.

Put him on the Kings or any lottery teams and I doubt he will have many open looks.

How does accidentally leaking a sext on snapchat for the world to see make you a bad person? I anything I felt bad for Green during that, but he handled it well and didn't let it affect the team at all (It was during the Olympics).

Yeah. Getting assists next to 3 of the greatest shooters of all time isn't very impressive lol. Draymond is super overrated

Unlikable? Have we not have far worse players with actual domestic, martial, violent, and hateful crimes on our team? KG talked A HUGE bit of trash, and as Celtic fans we embrace, and love that. He also set some ILLEGAL moving screens, but lo and behold, when he's a Celtic, all is forgiven! We really don't know the backstory behind Dray, but don't act like you KNOW who he is on and off the court... You guys really don't. That being said, I don't defend Dray when he does his stupid nutcracker jobs, or setting dirty plays. But we all know that our mindset would change if he came on our team. Dray is an absolute world beater on defense, and his high intelligence on the court has led him to become the player he is today. I still think his assists are inflated due to the emergence of his superstar shooting back court, and reeling in a top 5 player in KD. But... The thought of watching him and Marcus Smart switch on everything would be the utmost nightmare for most players, and would bring joy, because I find defense one of the most exciting things to watch.

Also I find it's a clear vying and presumptuous assumption to presume someone like Dray, (who actually is a great guy on and off the court to his teammates,) is a terrible person... Also I compared KG to Draymond, originally, because they both share the same intensity and passion that I love in sports. And also, since when did you guys care so much about what other people or players said? Lol. I cannot believe half of the bloggers and users here get their boxers and briefs in a bunch over someone who is one of the loudest and outspoken players in the league. Then act surprised when he starts barking back... He's been known to be the star role player. And that would be his exact role on this team.

Also you meant offense right?

Because he's not a scorer, but on the right team that already has scoring options, he's one of the best at making the right plays, and setting the right screens. Also he's not just the great defender, he's one of the best defenders.

Can we please retire this idea that having good teammates inflates assists? It doesn't. It's the same bunk people used to say about Rondo in Boston but every stop he's made if he's been given the minutes and the ball he's put up similar assist numbers.

Did James Harden suddenly get much better teammates in 2017? No, he was just given carte blanche to run the offense. Same thing happened to Steve Nash in Phoenix. Russell Westbrook's apg have been identical the last 3 seasons going from having Durant, then having struggling Oladipo, then having George/Melo. Jason Kidd played for 3 teams in his prime and had lots of different teammates and always averaged 9-10 apg, the teammates didn't matter.

How many assists a player gets has to do with their talent and role in the offense, not their teammates. Draymond Green leads that team in assists because he's its best playmaker. If you don't know that, you're not actually watching him.

Draymond's a great passer, but his playmaking is more situationally dependent than Rondo's.

He's not a guy who can break you down off the dribble in the halfcourt so his drive and kick game is predicated on the relatively unique dislocation that GSW's shooters create.

“I try to do a lot of the talking for myself on the court and for those guys,” said Rondo when trying to explain Jrue Holiday's outspoken behavior during the Portland series. “I played with a lot of people. I went to KG (Kevin Garnett) University and Paul Pierce University, so trash-talking is kind of in my DNA.”. ;D

Rondo averaged double-digit assist, playing for sorry teams like the Kings. And in game 3, he show Draymond how it is done in game 3, with only one assist away from tying the Warriors overall team assist.

And the bolded part is a reason he's just a role player. He's their version of Marcus Smart and I love Smart. While he's very good at it, he haven't dominate a playoff game like Rondo does (or even Smart). Can you remember a playoff game where the splash brothers are very cold and Draymond wills them to a win? I don't. Kindly remind me if there is any.

And the Pelicans don't device a gameplan for Green defensively. They just let him shoot, knowing it won't hit all the time like Klay, KD or Steph does.

Hoping this isn’t a GSW blowout like Houston the other day.
