So what do we think happens tonight in Game 5 of Golden State vs. Houston? Golden State stealing another one on the road and reasserting their dominance in the league (and series), or Houston riding momentum and taking care of business at home and putting Golden State on the brink?
Houston's defense was sensational in the 4th quarter, although it felt like the Warriors also sagged off of their game plan and hoisted up many dumb shots (and went iso a ton, which isn't really their style). Harden was quiet for much of the 2nd half, which makes Houston's Game 4 win really impressive, but I imagine Golden State will make a big counter-punch tonight, so Harden's going to have to play like an MVP again (preferably for the entire game).
I think, like most pivotal Game 5's (when tied 2-2), the winner tonight will win the series. Houston's going to need CP3 and their role players to again play really well, and I don't think they can afford to fall behind big again early (Doubt Golden State blows another lead like that this series).
Golden State meanwhile needs KD to be more aggressive again and for Klay to be more of a factor again. The wild card is Steph, who might be injured a bit and hobbled, so if he goes off (and has an efficient shooting night), Golden State likely wins, otherwise Houston has a good chance to win and they can attack Steph on defense.
Prediction: Houston wins Game 5 at home, 104-96, to take a 3-2 series lead
