What, is he a cross between the X-man and Paul Silas?  :o

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I mean, it looks like he can at least knock down the open 3.

A 6-5 shooting guard and the son of former Spurs standout James Silas.

He's only played two NBA games -- in 2012, for the 76ers.

18.4 ppg in the G League, shooting 38 percent on threes. He's no Sean Kilpatrick.

I just checked his highlights. Fits the team's need but he is much better than Jarrell Eddie and Nader? We'll see. I hope he's a revelation and gets the chance to be with the team for the rest of the season.

He also played in the Big 3 league.

All jokes aside, I bet signing a 10-day contract is a huge and exciting accomplishment for some of these guys.  If they last beyond 2 and earn a contract, they're NBA players with life-changing salary.

Silas was expected to be one of the top picks (again) in the upcoming Big 3 Draft. Big 3 combine and the draft are going to be televised 4/12... What does the Big 3 pay, like 100k for the season?

He needs to grow his beard out and become James Harden.

Promising player.  But it's going to be tough to get minutes on this roster.  Hopefully he pans out.  I can't recall any g-league players we've signed -ever- making it to a permanent contract with the Celtics.

Can he give us anything Kadeem Allen and Jabari Bird can't give us? Is he any better than they are? If not then he is just vasically practice fodder, right?

promising? i believe silas is 30 years old and has played exactly 2 nba games in his life.

i hope he can help the celtics, but perhaps another adjective might be in order. unless you think that he will suddenly improve his game. if so, i would be happy to learn how.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yeah, this is probably his destiny. I doubt we'll see much of him on the floor.
