why can Avery Bradley all of a sudden lock down Kyrie?

where was this when he was shooting 60% in the ECF last year?

Having Love and James as options helps quite a bit

No defender can lock a great player down every game.  But he has multiple times, including this year against us when he was on the Pistons.

I would say Avery is probably his worst match up in the league maybe because of how good he is reaching in on dribbles and the fact that Kyrie is not really physical to counter that kind of thing.

Right now we don't have play makers or shooters to really make defenses rotate enough to go at him so Kyrie will have a hard time.

It doesn't feel like it but we actually won that quarter by 5 points.

With our offense this bad, why the hell is Monroe only playing 3 minutes in this half? Why did we even sign him?

Our offense were always bad. Its the defense that drastically fall off the cliff.

Yeah, 51 points in a half is not bad offense... It's the 61 on the other end that's the problem...

The 51 points is largely just due to a faster paced game. We've already put up 54 attempts when we average 85 a game. We're shooting under 40%, so offense is certainly a problem area for us, which doesn't make sense with Monroe on the bench.

But, yeah, our biggest problem right now is our D. We got away with a lackluster offense before because our D was elite. Without that elite D, we look like a legitimate lottery team.

61 points given up to the [dang] Clippers at halftime?? My God what has happened to this team

You score 54 points in a half and still trail by 7 is just unacceptable

You cannot judge this team without Marcus Smart.

Eh, it's right before the ASB, and the team is clearly fatigued and needing a break. Kyrie usually significantly ups his game in the playoffs, too, so it's not really the same.

coaches obviously have no say so anymore. even though brad had them attack paint and play a balanced inside out game early on. now??????????

It goes beyond the defense, though. He's legitimately the heart and soul of this team, and the energy and character just hasn't been the same since he's been gone. It's amazing how our sixth man can be the emotional leader of our team and affect us this much in his absence.

why is Aron Baynes practicing 3s at half time?

Not everyone needs to shoot 3s.

You think 65 is bad? LAL just gave up 79 to the Pels lol Looks like IT is already making his presence felt on the defensive end!  :P
