Owners of the second-worst record in the NBA, the Orlando Magic are reportedly looking at trade options for Aaron Gordon.

Per Michael Scotto of The Athletic, Magic president Jeff Weltman and general manager John Hammond are "quietly gauging" the market for Gordon.

Scotto did note it's possible the Magic are just putting out feelers since Gordon can become a restricted free agent this summer.

On pace for their sixth straight losing season, the Magic have been exploring all of their options leading up to the Feb. 8 trade deadline.

Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders reported on Jan. 9 that the Magic were "open for business" and had received at least some degree of interest for everyone on their roster, including players who were out with injuries.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but I am always intrigued to find out his value and what the Magic are looking for in return.

Of course not. Which is why the whole thread is largely preposterous. We have nowhere to fit him in the rotation anyhow unless we got rid of Tatum.

Your original post said you said they would LISTEN if we offered, and now you're changing your words to ask, so which one is it?  :laugh:

Anyone can clearly admit that Tatum is an overpay for Gordon, considering you have to max Gordon out, plus we offering a 1st too?

I would be okay with giving up Brown, and a 1st, although I would rather hold out for other players. Just trying to gauge what people think here.

u guys think they would take the bkln pick from cavs?  i hope not, if cavs think he’d benefit the queen and also allow them to have a long term asset (if they’d pay) might work for them and maybe works for orlando since they don’t want to pay gordon

There isn't a material difference in how it's worded. They're gauging value. Some offers they'll listen to, some offers would be below what they'd ask/need in order to trade him. Is that better?

That's not particularly clear. I wouldn't trade Tatum because I like Tatum. In practice, however, he may never be better than what Gordon is right now. That's not really far-fetched.

That's interesting, because it's far from a given that Brown will be the worse of the two Jays.
