You can't get rid of Dan Gilbert. Its his team. That's like getting rid of you from the home you own because the neighbors are jealous of your home
Technically, you can. The NBA is a franchise business. You must not have been paying attention when they forced Donald Sterling out.

Of course, there's about zero chance that this will happen right now, but in practical terms you're simply wrong.

so what did Gilbert do that has you saying remove Gilbert? I don't recall he's done anything like what sterling did.

Here's the thing though.

Kyrie has a TRADE KICKER ($$$). There's the possibility he doesn't waive it for the Suns, and if that's the case, Suns would have to add more pieces to make the trade, and frankly I think that would make them hesitate.

And there's no way they are giving up Josh Jackson AND 2018 1st in the package either. That's like us giving up Tatum AND 2018 BKN Pick (yuck!).

Highlighted the important part for your convenience. Also, I didn't say, "Remove Gilbert", I'm just explaining the situation -- but that doesn't make your assertion more accurate ;)

If the Suns are sending Jackson in that trade that helps the Celtics. Jackson is a least a year away from contributing to a championship team.  The Cavs are desperate to be putting all this stuff out there trying to push The Celtics into something. Celtics fans are getting a good look at how opposing GMs are treating our front office.

He talks about it at 6:35 says the Suns and Milwaukee were caught off guard when the trade broke. This is getting messier by the day. Ughh

Cavs cant just break off the deal

League will intervene.... Bad blood between owners is not what the nba wants

Here's what they can do.

Get rid of Dan Gilbert, and that newbie GM.

Tell that to Don Sterling.

I have as many NBA sources as Sam Amico. Relevant: I have zero NBA sources.

If Cleveland is afraid that IT will be gimpy (to use a medical term) all season, I believe a deal centered around Bledsoe becomes much more attractive to CLE.  To compete, they need at least a decent PG to replace Irving.  I think that is still CLE's top priority in any trade.

So if you think IT will not be a factor due to injury, suddenly Bledsoe becomes a key to the deal.  Even if they won't include Josh Jackson (we won't include Tatum) they could still offer the following to correlate with our deal (and I know, salaries probably don't work but I don't think they are that far off if you assume Irving's trade kicker):

Bledsoe     (Thomas)
Dudley      (Crowder)
Chriss       (Zizic)
Pick          (BKN Pick)

Our deal is better but only if Thomas can play full speed, at least based on my interpretation of CLE's priorities.  If I am Cleveland, this is not about adding another pick, unless they feel they can flip the pick for a PG (unlikely at this point), this is about getting a PG that allows them to compete now, make one more run at a title with LeBron before he goes to LA.  If CLE does not believe that IT is that PG , I don't know who on the Celtics that would be.  Smart?  Rozier?  No, I think Cleveland would want Bledsoe as their Plan B.

If CLE comes out and says we voided the deal due to IT's injury, and then makes the deal with Phoenix, there is nothing we can do.  Irving might elect to not waive his kicker but so what.  I know that the tax is a consideration for CLE but I think they want to win this year first and foremost.

The only other scenario that I can think of is that they want Rozier (perhaps instead of Zizic) so that Rozier can fill in for IT for the month or tow or whatever while IT is coming back.  This would be if they are worried about a delay in IT's recovery but expect him back.

The Suns can match that Nets pick, Bledsoe is likely to miss more games than IT next year, and Dudley isn't as good as Crowder.
