Get isaiah back with all the best medical and rehab
If he can come back later in season for the playoffs
He then can showcase himself and build his value as repaired and as good as new.
IF not he gets operated on and misses the season'
THE FANS LOVE HIM we keep our nets pick
,Give Crowder a new contract with a raise and trade him
or a raise and play him-Keep two potential lottery picks for a big guy who can play
-We will need that against philly
Isaiah just played his butt off for us last season, finished up averaging 29 PPG and 3rd in scoring.
He played in the playoffs the day after his sister passed away from a tragic car accident - put his own family second to the team.
He rejected the opportunity to negotiate a contract extension this off-season and put his own future at risk so that Boston could have more cap flexibility, and could sign Hayward.
Then Danny Ainge traded him the first opportunity he had.
Thomas is going to feel hurt, heartbroke, furious. I wouldn't blame him if he outright refused to suit up a single game for the Celtics after being stabbed in the back like this. I know it's just a business, and I can understand why Danny had to do it, but as a player you would never forget that.
So if this trade gets voided, Isaiah will probably demand a trade. Then we have a guy with one year on his contract demanding a trade, which puts us in the worst possible negotiating position - we'd pretty much have no choice but to take the best lowball offer we get.
Maybe Crowder would let it go, maybe he'd request a trade as well. If he does, we kinda have to let him go eventually too. Remember he was already upset when Boston fans cheered for Hayward - now Hayward is here and Crowder just got traded - he's going to feel backstabbed for sure. Like he is now "redundant" with Hayward here. He's not going to be happy in Boston, probably, anymore.
If the trade is killed, the only positive things we can really take from it is that we get Zizic and the Brooklyn pick back. I can live with that because I was kinda hoping that Brooklyn pick would bring us the talented young big man prospect we've been needing for years...but regardless, we're still in a better position if the deal gets done then we are if it fails.
So are Cleveland. This deal fails and they have no choice but to accept a lesser deal, because no team is offering as much as we just did. Cleveland then lose Kyrie, don't get a comparable player back...so they get worse. Lose once again in the finals against Golden State - this time probably swept. Lebron leaves to go elsewhere...now Cleveland are left with no Kyrie, no Lebron - all they can really do is trade Love for a pick to try and get some cap flexibility back and then rebuild.
So if this deal falis, it hurts both teams. It's in both Cleveland's and Boston's best interests to get this thing done. If Cleveland's GM voids the trade just because Boston refuses to give any more assets, then he's an idiot..only shooting himself in the foot.
