We were arguably the toughest/ most physical team in the nba last season.
I don't think we have any competitors in this regard.
We've lost Avery which sucks but was inevitable. But to make up for it we've added
-Marcus 'the Felony Twin' Morris
-Aaron 'the Aussie bouncer' Baynes
-Semi 'the human truck' Ojeleye
-The French sirloin aka dancing bear Mr Yabusle

Add these guys to Crowder, Smart, Jaylen, Rozier and the toughest guard in the nba Isaiah, we are going to be feared and intimidating going into 7 game series. Even Kadeem allen (who might be a G league fixture most of the year) already looks like a defensive animal.

This is something that Ainge and Stevens have specifically gone out and assembled- a supremely physical, hard, gritty, scratchy, defense first line up that can shoot the 3 and defend all 5 positions.

Im really excited to see this team on defense.
A huge factor in the playoffs will be that we now have 3 guys that can guard Lebron and DeRozan and switch onto guys like John Wall, Kyrie and Lowry whereas the last few years we've basically had Crowder with a sprinkling of Evan Turner and a rookie Jaylen.

We are a team of tough guys and I love it.
Edit: how could i forget the human zombie Zizic.

So I guess if we were starting a UFC team we'd be straight.

Yes, but its our physicality that got us over the line vs the Wizards and got us close to cleveland at times. We've added an All Star scorer and more defensive weapons to throw at Lebron too.

Nope.  We lost our hard-nosed enforcer, so we won;t be nearly as tough this year.

Goodbye, Kelly "Put you in the Clinic" Olynyk
I'm bitter.

Not until we show it out on the floor.  Toughness is both physical and mental. I'm hoping this roster has both. That's what separates a winning team from a group of thugs.

The Cavs are the toughest hardest team.
Anyone here really think we can out-muscle Love, Thompson, LBJ for a rebound if they're all crashing the glass?

At least that's how i measure toughness, rebounding

Well, I wouldn't say that quite yet.

BUT... Baynes and Morris are already 10x tougher than Zeller, Olynyk, and 30 year old Amir.

Any team that has Marcus Smart is automatically in the discussion.

Love it. This is how you counter dominance by a team like Golden State. Follow the important trends but add your own wrinkle.

It's going to be hell to play 48 minutes against Smart, Morris, Baynes, Zizic, Crowder, and then also having to run with Jaylen & Tatum, and keep tabs on IT + Hayward + Horford. What an exhausting bunch we'll be in the playoffs when those guys are really fired up. Anything from Semi, Yabusele, Allen would be icing on the cake.

Maybe, but they aren't the best so what does it matter?

tough teams don't get raped at home by a thousand points , tought teams dont give up 100 three pointers.

Our team is not tough.

2008-2012 team was tough.
