Grandmaster Jan Gustafsson plays chess live with amateurs and makes random, amusing comments. Yesterday, when a Celtics fan appeared on his screen, he predicted the Cavs trade - the absolute madman.

[Dang], Jae and Zizic are shorter than I thought. They're barely IT's height if you count their hair!
I'm bitter.

"There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state. The other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people." - Commander Adams, Battlestar Galactica

Jabbar authored a graphic novel (will be released in September)

https://www.amazon.com/Mycroft-Holmes-Apocalypse-Handbook-Abdul-Jabbar/dp/1785853007/?tag=zdgeek-20&ascsubtag=0da9711b-3549-4c2f-85fc-8b5ba70dd5c2
Previously, he co-wrote a traditional novel about Mycroft Holmes as well. My wife bought it for me because she knows I like detective books and basketball. Which was very sweet even though what I normally read is more noir stuff (Hammet, Chandler, etc.) and the only basketball team I hate is the Lakers. But I can't fault her logic.

The book was fine. Not much of a mystery and Abdul-Jabbar is only a decent writer. But he's the only NBA player I know who wrote a novel so I give him a lot of credit there.
