On our current roster we have 2 guys who potentially could help make Jae Crowder expendable by mid season in Yabusele  and Ojeyele. They have skillsets that while raw, are going to be comparable or exceed his sooner than later. Both look to be better rebounder already.

We will likely have a starting 5 of:

Horford
Thomas
Morris
Hayward
Smart or Brown

We can argue the positions but I think Crowder ultimately becomes a small ball 4 playing spot minutes to back up Morris  and he will not be happy with that. Barring injury, he could find himself limited to 15mpg or less. I don't see him starting over Morris or Hayward. Tatum will get minutes as a back up to both of them which will limit him as well.

He has a very nice and tradeable salary that Danny uses to trade for another asset.

I'll  be sorry to see him go but it is inevitable especially  if Tatum develops quickly as I expect.

Might be worth attaching a late 1st for another big.

Crowder isn't a big, and the young guys are ahead of him on the depth chart on the wing.

He might want a larger role elsewhere, if not this summer then at the deadline for sure.
