It's a shame Phil Jackson still isn't in NYK.

If we got Hayward, I would have tried giving up most of our future draft picks (Nets one included), Crowder and another player (not Tatum/Brown) for Porzingis.
well thankfully you're not running the team.  giving up most of the picks, including the Nets pick, plus Crowder and what would have to be a decent player (since that's all we'd have left after setting free the team's FAs) would be a gross overpayment.

LOL gross overpayment??? Crowder is an average NBA player

Most lottery picks turn out to be mediocre players

Porzingis is a 21 year old star

What is with this board thinking that every top 5 pick is gonna turn into LeBron James?

The Okafor S&T is dead. Someone has to go besides KO if GH signs at the full max, but it could be any number of people. My guess is Smart as he's an RFA next summer, but I won't lay any money on it. He's got great upside if he could ever hit a shot, but he hasn't.

all your posts trash talk this board. Crowder is better than Ingram and ball and all the other trash prospects on the lakers

But Ainge wouldn't try to get Okafor with Hayward coming in tomorrow, needing max cap space, unless he had a place to move Crowder (or Bradley -- could only be one of those two to fit Okafor).  And ultimately I don't think they're planning to run Hayward out there as the starting 2, which means they'd be keeping Bradley and moving Crowder.

Trading Crowder makes so little sense from a luxury tax perspective. Are we keeping all 3 of Smart, IT and AB? We'd be looking at a LT bill pushing $100m. Wyc is rich but he isn't a Russian oligarch.

I don't see why we can't have 4 SF's. SF isn't really a position in Stevens's sytem; you saw Brown play plenty of "2" last year, Crowder play plenty of "4", you saw Smart playing the 3, Green playing either 2 or 3, etc.

This roster is perfectly balanced if you want to play with 1 PG, 3 wings and 1 big most of the time:

PG: IT, Smart
Wing: Hayward, Crowder, Brown, Tatum, (Smart)
Big: Horford, Zizic

I'd be surprised if Danny doesn't have potential deals to move player X, Y, or Z and they could move any number of people depending on who comes in.

Or maybe Crowder is one of the "negative nancies" here who have always said we won't do anything and that getting Hayward/George, etc would not be worth it

We never wait until things unfold but then get mad when our fantasy doesn't come true. It's time to wait for something to happen before we start sending Ubers! The last 2 seasons have passed with a lot of the same players you guys said would be gone 3 seasons ago! Based on the history of this blog that I have seen, Jae is pretty much guaranteed to be here because Danny never goes with CB consensus!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Somebody eventually has to go if we get Hayward.  Crowder seems like the guy but it might actually make more sense to just let IT walk after next season.

Could run Brown at starting 2.

I love Crowder and, if we sign Hayward, i would be content to have him start as a small ball 4.

But If Hayward comes I'd also be ok trading him to upgrade the 4. would it be possible to sign and trade him to Memphis for J. Green?

Crowder would stay until we get more bigs. He plays a decent amount of time at the 4 in our small ball line-ups. He also would move to the bench which would be a perfect role for him.
