Here's my things with Markelle Fultz...

1. The kid's offensive game is as polished as a pro can be. He has the skill NBA teams clamor for, the ability to control pick and rolls and dictate pace and tempo.

2. 23/6/5 on 47% FG, 41% 3PT. Great numbers coming out.

3. The Washington problem could be an issue, but really, who else on the Washington team is an NBA caliber talent? IT had Quincy Pondexter, CJ Wilcox, Justin Holiday and Terrence Ross in Washington, who did Markelle had to help him?

4. His lack of desire to win could stem from the fact that he's just looking towards the NBA. When your team is that bad, and you know you're leaving for the NBA already, wouldn't you?

He may not be a generational talent, yes, but he has the tools, the skills and the talent to be a multiple time All-Star. Damian Lillard isn't a generational talent, but you'd want to have him on your team, Fultz could be a bigger Lillard with the skills that he has. That's who we are passing on.

The rest of the field have their red flags themselves, why not just take the best one with the minimal weakness?

1.  Like Evan Turner with a better jump shot.

2.  See 1.

3.  One could make the argument that his lack of talented teammates, in part, is what led to his gaudy numbers.  In short, he put up good numbers because that team was geared towards having Markelle Fultz shine rather than winning ball games.

4.  Nope.

Yes, the other top candidates have some question marks as well.  I think, though, that the events of the last couple of days points to the possibility that the "consensus" for this draft hasn't been as strong among NBA front offices as it has been among the guys who write the mock drafts.

C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I have no idea who will be good coming out of this draft. Fultz is the only one that has intrigued me though. The rest when I read about them either can't shoot, can shoot but not athletic, weird mechanics ...

I will say I was not high on Brown last year and right now I think he's better than all these guys!

My point is I don't like the trade because of the return. Every time I hear Danny tries to trade up teams want the farm. But when we trade down all we get is a protected future pick?? I think the rest of the league is laughing at us.

I feel exactly like you do. We offered Charlotte all of our Brooklyn picks for a shot to take Winslow and they said no. We turn around and accept this crap?

Um, no.

While I have read a lot of reasonable speculation  on why Danny  is setting up this trade, it struck  me  that there is another end goal staring us in the face. I think it  is highly likely that Danny sees several top of the draft talents this year at PG  and wing. I'm  sure has a favorite but he could be laser focused on next year's top of the draft big men. By adding a second likely top 5 pick, he puts us in play for 2 top big men from a loaded dfaft next year.

Whether  he trades or keeps the number 3 pick this year, he could still have a deal in place for Hayward or Griffin as well.  As stated earlier he is clearing a little cap space here that could help put us in play for a top FA  this year and still add 2 awesome picks for next year.

Yes thank you Danny!  Was sick at the thought of another pg let alone an overhyped one.  Just shows how sheep a lot are on this blog.  Fultz fultz is all we heard about and here yoirnown gm that you admire and trust so much doesn't want him.  Stop believing the hype!  We'll get a nice pick at 3 and two more bargaining chips for a guy that a...we don't need and b...is not that good.  Been wanting josh Jackson from the get got but st this point I'll be happy with whomever talent we get as long as it's not fultz
