Depending on the protections on the Sacramento pick I think I'm ok with the deal.

Bud, there is no Sacramento pick. We only get that as protection backup for the Lakers pick.

Ugh... Sometimes I wish Danny could just be a normal GM and just take the easy win.

Even if he doesn't love Fultz handing him to Philly to build a core of Fultz, Simmons, and Embiid just isn't smart.

This is what stings the most.

We should be THAT team, building the future Warriors slayers, while trying to compete at the same time. Instead we are probably trying to win now, and have little to no shot against the Titans in the Bay.

Now Philadelphia has that great young core. They could easily be 2012 Oklahoma City Thunder in 2-3 years, and will be poised to take over.

This angers me to no end. Fultz is exactly what this team needed. Ainge done messed up bigtime and this kid is gonna beat the living dun out of us to prove a point that we shouldnt have traded him. I dont care what Walburgh said and i dont care what Pierce thinks. We done messed up a perfect oppertunity to become a decade of dominance thanks to Danny Ainge. Now the laughing stock of the MBA i got Laker fan friends laughing at the team. What a joke. Ive lost all respect for Ainge unless he does something special with these pics. It seems as if he listened to Paul and Mark and traded out the #1 selection. We aint getting ish for those protected pics. Thats got to be the worse trade ive EVER seen in the NBA even worse then the Nets giving us all them picks for aging Pierce and Garnet cause atleast they got something out of them two players on the floor. We aint getting anything from this. Wow. Fire Ainge i dont even want an explination why he did it. Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.

Protection pick? Josh Jackson? Markelle Fultz red-flag? Did Paul Pierce get traded for nothing? Ainge also thought about trading a boat-load of draft picks for Justise-freaking-Winslow, but lucky dumb-butt Michael Jordan declined that offer.

I think this thread really deserved to have one started. TP.

Why would we fire the man who constructed the roster that took down the Warriors?

If the Celtics beat the Warriors in the Finals in the next 5 years, I will give you all the TP's and Wiggins and #3 in DKC.

Nobody wants Wiggins.

That took down the Warriors without Kevin Durant.
That took down the 73-9 Warriors at Oracle because the C's just played better than the Warriors that one night, and in a 7-game series the results would have been eerily different.

I know you weren't around in the DKC back then, but C18 took a lot of grief for trading Wiggins for Gia back a few years ago.

C18 was clearly right on that one.  He earned a bit of leeway there.

Ah, thanks. But still, no one criticizes my players (until I'm doing damage control after a trade)!

Thank you for that.  Glad I made that deal despite everyone calling me insane at the time.

If Josh Jackson only looks like a super Shabazz Mohammed after his second season and the Lakers get the 1st or 6th pick or worse next season, I am going to make another thread like this one that is serious.

I agree wholeheartedly. If Jackson, Tatum, or Ball busts on the Celtics while Fultz flourishes, it would be proof that Danny is not a suitable evaluator of talent.

And if Jackson looks great while Fultz looks like he lacks fire or has a bad knee, or if the Celtics have two of the top five draft picks next year, i can hardly wait for your many, many threads praising ainge.

Or would those be considered over reaction threads????  ;D

The ultimate reality, as usual, Weill be somewhere in between the worst and best cases being trotted out on this board.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
