Because everyone knows we are drafting Fultz.

That is a good question but maybe it's because Danny hasn't invited some for workouts that he knows he won't draft. Maybe he is just locked into Fultz and offered Ball a workout to work the Lakers and maybe profit from it somehow.

From what I've read, some agents don't want them to come to Celtics because they believe coming to a playoff team will limit their playing time, while going to rebuilding team would allow them to play more.

I think it is some combination of a) a recognition that Fultz is the overwhelmingly likely #1 and b) a worry that the draftee won't receive minutes, and hence will not develop and gain exposure, with the Celtics as a rookie.

Also, players are worried about having to earn time on the talented Celtics roster.

They have no fear of that with the Lakers roster.

Some twitter blogs are saying Celtics will draft Jackson #1. Easily the biggest fake news story of the draft.

thank you for the replies guys,

so I would then ask,

why would it hurt to workout for the Celtics?

I can only assume that Danny didn't invite the rest, however from what I saw too, we were rejected from both:

Ball and Jackson

That is awkward, isn't it?

I can assume the recent news too about taking Jackson at #1 might be some type of bait Ainge put out there, but still, one thing is,

The Celtics are in the works in utmost secrecy lol.... XD

What are they up to [dang it] XDDDD!

Are we going to have heartbreaks or mental breakdowns or what on draft day xD Sigh... xD

I think both of these reasons are valid, however, I would assume the minutes idea is more likely than Fultz being the reason. If either one of these reasons is true, then that would tell me everything that I would need to know about a players lack of competitive nature. I'm not sure if Jaylen Brown was sincere, but I thought he said he liked the fact that he had to earn playing time by being on a winning team. That is the type of player I want, and from some of the interviews that I have seen from him, Fultz seems to have that same attitude.

BTW, I love the speculation leading up to the draft and free agency, but those two dates can't come fast enough now.

Danny and his team have scouting these guys so much, that I doubt an individual workout would do much to change their minds.

Speaking of random quick questions, would Wyc step in if Danny decides he rather pick Josh Jackson over Fultz? With all of the promises Wyc has made of making a big splash, you would think picking the consensus #1 pick by most draft experts and scouts, would help fulfill that promise. Could you imagine the reaction on this blog if Danny picked someone other than Fultz? Yes, I know Danny is not worried about fan reactions, but I would think Wyc would be.

Then again, is this Danny's chance to make that Gregg Oden/Kevin Durant choice, that he missed out on? Oden was the favorite to be picked #1, but Danny was always thought to be the one guy that would have made the had choice with Durant. Is Josh Jackson that Kevin Durant option this year?

Wyc would not step in.  He is not a meddling owner/manager.  He trusts Ainge to make the right basketball decisions.

If only there could be a year where we can finally draft a legit scorer/shooter.....

Or a big man who can rebound constantly...(and if I'm asking too much, shoot it abit lol)
