I think Gallo would be interesting strictly as a Lamar Odom style 6th man specialist.

-His size makes him a matchup problem and moving him to the bench would allow him to feast on other team's second units.

-The decreased minutes might help extend his career and like Roy mentioned, get those GP's up.

-At the end of games he can play offense/defense with Crowder

-The attention he'd draw on second units would help take some of the pressure off the young guys working their way onto the team.

Drawback of course is the durability and that he'd be one expensive 6th man.

If Hayward is a no, then I am on the Jimmy Butler bandwagon, looking to deal the 2018 nets pick in the package, not this years.

Now I have Fultz, Butler, Brown as my young core to build around....

I also shift my attention to Noel for the defender in the middle.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Much like Josh Smith and Omer Asik, I'm really happy we never managed to trade for or sign Gallinari.

Hayward is so much better (and healthy), it isn't even funny.

Pass on Gallinari. Too injury prone. That seems to be the consensus.  Hayward would be solid.

I'd rather resign Olynyk than sign Gallinari.

Gallo is not a crappy NBA player......

But I'd rather have HG at 30 Million than Gallo at 17 Million unless it means getting a center like the guy in Orlando at 12 million.

Gallo/NiV > than GH
