Couldn't you say that about anyone with a bad shot?

If rondo ever fixed his jumper he'd be the best point guard since magic johnson. If deandre jordan fixed his jumper he'd be KG 2.0.

Unfortunately people with broken jumpers stay with broken jumpers 99 times out of 100

He shot .378 from 3 point range at Kansas.  His shot isn't that broken.
Justice Winslow shot 40% in college too. Sample size.

Shot has a huge hitch and he shot like 50% from the ft line.

It's s huge concern and the reason I don't want us doing anything but taking Markell's Fultz

"Huge hitch" is a bit of an exaggeration.  Despite the poor free throw percentage, it looks to me like the kid can shoot the ball.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

It's 65% from the line for Fultz.

FWIW Avery Bradley shot 54% from the line in college.

Bradley's shot wasn't broken and he only took 66 free throws so that number is hardly reliable.

Fultz's shot looks better and he shot better percentages.

I mean I'm not putting the nail in Jacksons coffin here but don't take too much from that 38% number on 3s.

Smart shot 37% from deep his first three months in the NBA Winslow shot 40+% from deep at duke.

I picked:
A Little Upset, But I Trust Ainge, And Maybe He Sees Something In Another Player From Workouts

Last year I drank the Dragan Bender cool-aide and was all but certain that was the pick.   I was about to make a post that because Bender was the only one with more than one workout he was the odds on favorite.  Then I double checked and saw that Brown canceled a workout with Minnesota (I think it was them) because the celtics called him back in.   That was like right before the draft, maybe a day or two.  I knew right then that it was going to be brown and I was a lot upset and really though Danny was blowing the pick.   Well now that I see what Danny and Brad saw in JB, I concede that they made the right call (I still think Bender will be good, but maybe not as good as I originally thought).  So, if Danny and Brad think Josh Jackson is the guy I'll trust them.

very upset until I took another look at Tatum's highlight video.

So I can see him trading down for Tatum and some more consideration from Philly.

Tatum>Jackson. Just my opinion.

Fultz is the only player that is good on all 3 levels. he has NBA ready size. If he drafts string bean Ball or frail Jackson, I will tip my hat to whoever gets Fultz. Better hope its not LA.

ogaju, i have an honest request - please explain, briefly, why you think tatum is better than jackson. early on, i liked jackson more than fultz, but changed my mind. but i still love jackson.

i have not been studying tatum that much, so please tell me about him.

i ask now since i never thought ainge would choose tatum before. now? who the heck knows what is about to happen?

ainge will choose one of those three and not ball. ball just has too many significant flaws and questions to be chosen in the top 3, i think.

but, above all....i trust danny.

As I posted in another thread, the tweets this morning are saying Butler may be Ainge's target for multiple picks he might get from Philly for the #1. There is the possibility of a 3 way deal. The other tweet I saw is Fox is working out with Philly today.

This isn't a done deal yet, but Ainge appears to be targeting Butler for multiple picks. The only scenario that makes sense to me.

At this stage, by the way, there may be a lot of fake news out there. Even with "trusted" sources who get fed misinformation.

Tatum is the full package. He has size at 6'8 excellent athleticism and high motor energy. He can play facing the basket and play with his back to the basket. He has a three point shot, mid-range shot and can finish at the basket. His wing span of 7.0 allows him to score layups even when the defendant cuts him off from getting to the rim. He has spin moves to the basket and spin moves away from the basket for a turnaround jumper. He is the T.. ummm he may be the most versatile scorer Cs draft since Paul 'The Truth' Pierce.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

It sure will make for a more interesting draft now. I was hopeful Danny was going to tell Fultz you are my guy until you retire. All this noise will now hurt if we do pick him.  In my heart now I hope some blockbuster comes because of all this speculation.

My opinion is that there is a less than zero percent chance Danny takes Lonzo

I'll be more upset if DA doesn't make 5 moves to collect enough assets to land AD and validate all the DA is going for AD theories and rumors I've been trying to start.  :P
