Is winning the #1 pick (Markelle Fultz) the best thing since 2008?

If not, what was the best thing?

Isaiah trade?
Brown pick?
Making ECF this year?

If you disagree, I'll say let's get serious here. We aren't trading this pick (Fultz) for anything.
We'd trade it for Anthony Davis but there is no one 'available' that is being traded for this pick because that's how good this kid is.
 This is the greatest thing to happen to the franchise since the KG trade.
This guy has ultra low bust potential and a Hall of fame player ceiling.
He's 18 years old and doesn't have any weaknesses in his overall offensive game other than needing to develop his abilities going left somewhat.
Look at his advanced stats. Arguably the best college scorer we have seen since...Kyrie? Personally I think he's better in college than Kyrie was at Duke.
He's the best scorer in the country.
He's shoots 40%+ from three.
He has the 2nd highest assist ratio in the country aswell.
His assist % and turnover % are both better than Ball.
He's 6'5" with a 6'10" wingspan and probably still growing.
He's very athletic.
He's got a killer mentality when locked in.

Willing to bet all my TP's on it with anyone who thinks he won't be an All Star at minimum.

You are forgetting banner 17, but I would say yes.

Fultz's floor is CJ McCollum which is amazing. We have a very skilled guard locked up cheap for the next 4 years which makes flipping Avery for some frontcourt help this offseason that much easier.

Let it play out.  If Fultz can actually be a contributor at the NBA level, then that's a great situation to have.  Building around Fultz, Brown, Smart could be a good way to go.

However, that's a BIG IF, still.

The KG-Pierce trade, because it encapsulates so much. It's ripple effect, for example, is how we have Isaiah, as we took Zeller into Pierce's TPE, and the pick used for Isaiah came with Zeller.

I guess we need the franchise/hall of fame level player guy if we are going to win another ship.
IT is sort of that guy, not top 5 worthy but top 15.
I put Fultz ahead of Stevens (which is an excellent addition to the list) because to me he's a franchise potential/superstar play- who are the guys you need more than any single thing to win a ship'.

If that makes sense.

I would say the Isaiah Thomas trade.

As much as Stevens has been big, and the #1 pick is nice - this team hasn't had a 29 PPG scorer since the Larry Bird days, and we got this kid for [dang] near nothing. 

Without Thomas, we don't make the playoffs in 14-15, probably don't make it in 15-16, and don't get past the first round this year.

Without Thomas, Horford likely never signs here, and we likely enter this free agency with zero desirability.

That will surely go down as one of the most incredibly one-sided trades in the history of the NBA.  Just unfathomable what the hell Brooklyn were thinking...

I agree with this too. This trade brought us Fultz, Brown, and probably another top pick TBD, and Danny was able to flip other assets into guys like Isaiah.
