Exec: Some Owners use Forums/realGM/Reddit to gauge fan reaction to moves

Gauging reaction/temperature is perfectly fine.

Now if they're making decisions based on what internet forums are saying, well, that's an issue and something I certainly wouldn't want a GM doing.  Apologies to all the legit & smart posters on here.

If Yelp can eliminate most businessess 'business,' or help them resourcefully, why can't blogs, fan reactionary websites or forums be another model for decision making opportunists?

It's a good idea and, honestly, you can get some good thoughts from message boards (even here with you bunch of jerks  ). Being a good decision maker includes filtering out bad ideas, so mostly they are browsing and ignoring, stopping only on certain posts or topics that catch their eye. Sort of like how I used to browse before I started posting.

Forums are the home to the hardcore fans and it's good to always keep in touch with those. But we're not driving the direction of any franchises from our warped little communities  .
