I can see why he'd be frustrated. He's one of the few playing with some heart out there.

Not a good look. Probably should've been flipping off some of his teammates, though, after that effort.

Gorman said during the broadcast in the 4th quarter that Marcus and IT were going at it.

This dude just wrote a Players Tribune believing in a long run and praising Celtics fans.

Then he does this...

This is what I was thinking.

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Smart, IT and Crowder are all pretty fiery competitors who often play with a chip on their shoulder.  And part of that is that they occasionally cross the line when things don't go well.  Have to live with it.  It's part of who they are.

On the other hand if you dropped a couple of thousand dollars on courtside tickets to last night, you probably thought you got ripped off with that performance.  And I'm sure whoever the fan was probably was letting the players know it - though I would question going after Smart.  He was the least of their problems last night.

Yeah, coming into this season, and for big parts of this season, I wasn't a big Marcus Smart fan.  In fact I valued Bradley well over Marcus.  But these 2 playoff games have really turned me around.  If it weren't for Marcus then this game would have been completely lost at half-time.  He seemed to be the only person boxing out, and he made about 10 difference making plays (taking a charge, saving a ball, etc.).

I don't blame him for taking some of the 3 pointers he took.  Who else could get open?  No-one.  Marcus should have been upset, and I'm at least glad he cares enough to show it.
