  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Why not Goran Dragic?

He's been playing really good basketball since December. He's picked up his game some more lately, shooting very efficiently and was a big part in that season long 15 game winning streak.

Why not him?

porzingis's rookie year was better than this one. they are the 29th team in power rankings, so i would go with beal or horford as the players that deserve it the most. if a center/PF has to be chosen than horford is the guy. drummond, whiteside, porzingis, all guys that have had a poor season so far

Really guys Porzingis? From that list he is only better than Melo.

I would say Beal, Drummond or Embiid.

Gotta be Beal I would think.   Embiid hasn't played in enough games.  Horford is a very good player but he just doesn't feel like an all star this year.

Ante Zizic or the Brooklyn Nets '17 first round pick.

Both were snubbed in the first.

Has to be Beal right?

Andre having a great year, but Pistons are a well-balanced squad, and Drummond isn't moving the needle towards a winning record.

Zinger and Melo are doing better with less, so I think they deserve it as much as Drummond.

But hey, I had all 4 of these guys over Love.  Zinger would be considered for 1st team all-NBA if he had the luxury of LeBron and Kyrie running his pick and rolls.....simply look what he's doing with Derrick Rose and 1/10th of his old first step.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I'm taking back my initial comment about wanting Horford being my bias. Take a look at Horford/Drummond this season:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&hint=Al+Horford&player_id1_select=Al+Horford&y1=2017&player_id1=horfoal01&hint=Andre+Drummond&player_id2_select=Andre+Drummond&y2=2017&player_id2=drumman01

The points average is the same. Drummond averages twice as many rebounds but Horford averages 5 times as many assists. The blocks are comparable. Drummond is more efficient from the floor but Horford's FT percentage is almost twice Drummond's. Plus Horford can actually shoot so his eFG% is pretty close to Drummond's (and the effective bonus of a big who can shoot is immeasurable to a team). Drummond averages more steals but advanced stats say Horford is a much better defender.

And then there's team record.

So I take it back. Love's replacement should be Horford.

EDIT: Not that Drummond was definitely my pick but he was on ESPN's poll and Horford was not.

Horford.

One of the top two players on the #2 team in the East.
