Amazing stretch plays for Marcus.
This is why Green had to come out of the game.

Yeah, Smart is a crunchtime 1st ballot every game now.

With no Crowder and no Bradley, what impressed me was how many guys stepped up.

Warrior Smart:18:6:5:5.... what a stat-line.

I'm glad that I stayed up!

Alright - riddle me this:

This energy and fire that we've played with since about two minutes left in the first half is what we played with ALL of last year. It has been what has sparked this run to this lead, causing them 14 turnovers, mostly forced.

Why do we not play like this ALL of the time this year? Is it simply because we AREN'T putting the energy into it?
The idea that we played balls to the wall %100 of the time is revisionist history.

Not 100% of the time, sure, because no team can really do that. But it was a much, much, much greater percentage of the time than we are this year. We had that defensive intensity and fire that made us play so much higher than our collective skillset, but that's largely gone this year except for brief stretches.
it was a larger percentage, but last year there were a lot of complaints about why we werent playing as hard as we did down the stretch the season before.

Jaylen maybe weird and wild off the dribble and around the rim, but he has a grown man's body (unlike Ingram, Bender). He can do so much more damage off the dribble, drawing defenders than Ingram, and his passing today was near perfect. His 2 assists today were lighting, and he had 3 or 4 really nice hockey assists too. Jaylen is fast catching him in terms of shooting %s too..

I think his ceiling is still very much up in the air though (pun intended).

I think his ceiling is superstar.  Kid's got the work ethic and the talent. Whether he gets there or not is certainly remains to be seen, but he definitely has that kind of potential.

Smart getting major praise from his teammates tonight:

IT on Smart - "When you want to be a championship team, you have to have guys like that on the team."

Brown on Smart - "He changes the game every time he gets on the floor. He just does wonders for this team."

Smart on Smart - "My teammates tell me every day, 'The things you do without scoring the ball is incredible. It wins games for us.'"
