Andrew Bogut is probably our best bet
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I prefer players who can walk.

Withey is like Stiemsma. A good shot-blocker but lacks the athleticism and physicality to cover his check well enough in order to get long minutes. A good 3rd string center to below average bench center.

Withey wouldn't get any more minutes on this Boston team than he has gotten in NOP or UTA.

It looks like Okafor is going to be traded. That can't mean they are keeping Noel--they'll never re-sign him next year. So he'll be traded, too. The Celtics should still be in the hunt for Noel. My guess is they are waiting until the price is right. They know they can sign him next year--he wants to play for them.

I don't think so, this may just be a hunch but 76ers moving Okafor means to me, Embiid/Noel is and will be an established front court for them going forward. They are probably confident in their offensive lineup going forward and they need to retain a defensive player

"Preliminary talks" is a vague and most likely meaningless phrase.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Speaking of big man trades, Ibaka had 28 pts, 8 rebounds, and 1 block tonight in a loss to Houston.

Saw the game.

We can safely say that Ibaka is anything but cooked.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I know it has been discussed to death here, but I just can't see any way noel is happy being a backup. He has to feel that he is worthy of starting, and Philly has to respect that.

I prefer another pg

As long as they're undersized, gritty and can't shoot, I'm good with that.

I think the C's hold off on making a deal to see if they can trade for a star like Butler. I expect to see the Celtics make a move or two for big(s) at the very last minute before the trade deadline.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Everyone needs to check their expectations. My guess is that Danny has found out that a team has the rights to some kid playing in China that plays PF.

He probably stands at about 6'5, but has an incredible 8'5" wingspan. His shot is still a work in progress.

Frontcourt will be Embiid and Simmons.  Saric will be in the mix too.  Noel will get an offer that is too much to p play a back up and Philly won't match it.

Ibaka would fit in here perfectly.

Raptors just got Ibaka so you can cross him off the list.

They gave up Terrance Ross + a 1st round pick.

I don't agree with this.  He's an asset and at worst they would do a S&T.  Colangelo won't give him away for nothing...
