Oh yeah, we are getting killed by their front court.

But lets draft a guard in 2017..
and whom should the celtics draft in 2017 then?

Giles might help after a season

But Philly is going to dominate .....everybody but LeBron

I think people are overreacting to a good half by the second worst team in the league by just a wee little bit lol

I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach about Philly ......they are tanking holding Simmons out ........if he came in .....they would,be .500 team anyways

Lol not even close, Shaq!

Is it possible Philly is showcasing Noel to Danny?

Okafor hasn't seen minutes.

The only GOOd thing is Philly can't keep and pay all these first round picks ......it's like OKC ...eventulally they will, have to let at least two go.

So it will be the Simmons and Embidd show

After tonight, Larbrd be like

It's still going to take time for everyone else to understand the Philly thing.  I'd be shocked if they weren't in the playoffs in the next 3 years.

We're unquestionably better than them right now, though.  We should come back in the second half and win by double digits.

Ever since KG and Perkins left... Danny never solved the bigs problem (rebounding).

It's showing here.

Also interesting watching Philly experiment with Noel and Embiid together.  It was a long time coming.  They are currently undefeated in games those two have shared the court together (2-0).   I still expect them to trade one or both of Noel and Okafor.  They might just be showcasing Noel right now.  You can smell his trade value increasing in this game.  He still does what he does well.

Well, they've played like a couple of minutes together lol They're playing better because they actually have two rim protectors that they play at alternating times to always have one on the floor, rather than playing Jahlil "please score on me" Okafor.

Noel is so, so, so much better than Okafor. Noel's value is definitely rising, and I'm not even sure that they could get a late first round pick for Okafor at this moment.

At this point, I think they definitely prefer to try and keep Noel over Okafor as the backup center, but I think Noel definitely prices himself out of being a backup big.

Well, story of the game. A perimeter-oriented team can't deal with the bigs of a big-oriented team. Story of the C's for half a decade now.

Look at our scoring - AB 14, IT 12, Smart 10, Amir 5, JJ/Green 3, Al 2.

Look at their scoring - Their forwards/centers all lead the scoring over the guards lol

Get off your arse Danny and upgrade our bigs!

Danny can be off his ass all he wants, but it doesn't matter until other teams start looking to trade their bigs, too.

There probably won't be any bigs moving until either Millsap gets moved or the deadline arrives

Noel? He's been available for awhile now, no matter what blatant falsehoods Colangelo tries to sell to the media.

I'm sure he's available, but I think the price for him is probably too high right now. If he keeps playing he might prove to be worth it, but he hasn't played enough this year for it to be worth trading any more than a late first
I'm bitter.

Embiid plays like a ten year veteran.
There's been notable improvement in his game as this season has progressed.  At the start of the season you could see the obvious signs of a future superstar, but he was turning the ball over constantly, fouling, not getting assists and falling all over the place.   His game has started to calm down.  He's been progressively playing more under control as things slow down and he works off two years of rust.  He's the type of player you tank for.  He's the type of player you build a 50+ win team around.  That stuff doesn't happen overnight, though.  That team can be scary in a few years.

Don't think we need to upgrade our rim protection or think it's not that important? Look at this stat:

Celtics players are 3/13 in the paint while the Sixers are 15/22. Horford is 1/7.

Our defense is so terrible anymore.

I like Horford, but I really hate him guarding as a 4, which is why I'm a bit worried about the potential fit with someone like Boogie. Noe is at least athletic enough to play out there on the perimeter.

We have a tendency to play down to our opponents.

That's a young team thing. We'll grow out of it.

Hope so. It gets very tiresome.
