Lost in the excitement: Al had 17 and 14.

Yep, and the clutch shot down the stretch to seal it for us, yet people still complain about him.

If I had to use one word to describe Horford, it would be "solid".  Not always going to put up impressive stats, but he's solid at basically every aspect of the game.  Terrific all around player.

this team is much more enjoyable without the internet.

Isaiah with the first 40 point game on 16 or less shots since Pierce in 2012.

Give the guy a lot of credit.

Nah he should be a sixth man...the Cs are better without him (sarcasm)

Best win of the season!  Down double-digits to a veteran team on the road, pull it out in overtime!

It's helping me relax about the team.  And I think things will keep evening out.  Had some tough injuries and then bad breaks.

First big win of the season.  Alright.

Lost in the excitement: Al had 17 and 14.

Big line on a night we really needed it, especially the boards.

Al acquitted himself quite well in the 4th qtr and OT.  Particularly on defense, helping to stop Gasol.  As far as I can tell, Gasol didn't score a single point after the 7:26 mark of the 3rd qtr.  Horford scored 9 points over that same time frame.

Gasol outplayed Horford tonight, primarily due to Horford's brutal shooting from three (1-8).  But Al made some critical plays at the end.

Tonight's win doesn't come without IT having a career night, with the little man living at the foul line.  Memphis couldn't stop fouling him.

Can't wait for December to be over.  The Celtics literally do not play consecutive games at home the entire month.  They've only had consecutive home games twice on the season.

In January, they have two weeklong stretches in which they don't need to board a plane.  Should be able to get an actual practice in -- I doubt they've had anything more than some light walkthroughs since that fateful practice where Zeller knocked out Al in early November.  Any experimenting Brad wants to do with lineups has to come in game situations.

Very efficient scoring by IT, great game.

Horford had a tough shooting night from the 3 point line, but he plays solid ball in many other ways.

It didn't look like the C's night for quite a while, nice win!

To make it even more impressive, check out these stats:

Outrebounded by 11, 52-41, including 17 offensive rebounds ( :o);

Shot 40.7% overall and 32.4% from 3;

They shot 40.0% from 3 and 40.4 % overall.

Believe it or not, we won this game at the free throw line shooting 34-38 compared to their 21-26. We also drew 8 more fouls, though several of those were toward the end.

Yeah, I thought our schedule had been brutal. I remember them saying last game that we've had the most away games so far and are tied for the least amount of home games so far, or something like that.

Pros:
-Celtics took initiative to go rebound even against a good rebounding team

-Celtics played consistently well defensively and were able to get stops when we needed to

Cons:
-We relied way to heavily on IT. If IT has a cold shooting night we lose by 20+

-Came out lackadaisical and didn't really get energy until the 2nd half.

-Again relied too heavily on the 3 to bring us back

Overall:

If we can put out that same rebounding effort as we did today than I think we become a dangerous team. By no means am I saying that we rebounded the ball all the great, but we put out an effort to grab the boards and get loose balls which is what this team hasn't had.
