Marcus Smart takes 2 shots for the half, basically invisible

Its almost like these guys get in the way of themselves.

2 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. Definitely invisible... He's doing things to help this team win, and he's picking his spots offensively, which is exactly what he needs to do.

im talking about his offensive production in scoring. Im not even hating on him, this team just gets in the way of eachother, everything changes, when IT is in everybody else as obviously as it is drops off, when he is gone the other guys become more of themselves. I might think Smart sucks on offense but now he won't get many shots, and def not get good ones. Somebody has to go.

That's just how IT plays, and we kind of just have to accept it right now. I hate it, too, but he's our best option offensively. I think we could make him a bit better by playing him more off the ball and having someone like Smart initiate the offense more. But Brad just doesn't want to do that apparently.

Gorman just said only three assists for the starting unit so far, i.e. the IT effect.

How is that the IT effect? He's been playing really well within the offense. The team is just shooting terribly from the field.

Ball clearly isn't moving like it was without IT. IT's presence always has a tendency to curb the ball movement, because his usage is so high that everything goes through him, mostly through penetration and kicking. I mean, we simply have to have him right now for our offense, but he without a doubt have better ball movement without him.
No we just shot like 40% from the field and if your team can't make shots then there won't be many assists. I mean Bradley has 8 shots, Horford has 7 shots, and now IT has 15 shots after that scoring spree he went on in the beginning of the 3rd so it seems like we are distributing the shots pretty evenly, just not hitting them at a high percentage

Yup with IT it's a lack of ball movement. As he kicks out to Bradley for the 3

Horford just woke up from his drunken stupor.  Wow. That was a powerful block.

Al is going off defensively right now.

I just don't understand how we can upgrade our defense so much with Horford but be so much worse from last year.

It's gotta be the lack of rebounding. Our guys can't focus on playing good D when they have to gang rebound
I'm bitter.

Yes, yes,  give it to Hortford in the paint.

And I don't understand the whole ball movement crap I hear around here. It's more about the quality of the pass and the position it puts you in to make a play. You can pass around the perimeter all you want, but if nobody is creating something with the ball then we are going to be forcing up either a bad shot or a 3 point chucks as we have seen without IT. Is some ball movement good? Of course it is, but having the ball in the hands of players that makes play is what ultimately matters.
