Other than MJ, the non-Rodman Bulls were not that good of a team.

I don't see why you would want to remove our best big when talking about our bigs.

Other than Tom Brady, the Patriots quarterbacks are only so-so.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Yes we need to trade for Nerlens, I can't stand our soft, t-rex armed bigs any longer.  I think something like Rozier and Memphis 1st for Noel is fair.
as long as nerlens remains clearly available, he'll remain the guy I want us to grab.  Our defense would be next level with him.  Hopefully the price is reasonable.  I figure they will showcase him a few games first to prove he's healthy.

Problem is that he's not even close to returning. I'm a big fan of his game, but he's just not healthy, and availability is just as important as ability.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Right now it's Horford and that's it. Amir has regressed/aged.  Jerebko is playing better but he's a reserve.  Mickey has done nothing. As for the Marshmallow Twins (KO/Zeller)....So I guess the answer is yes.

He just got back from rehabbing in Alabama a few days ago.  He's close but he hasn't been cleared for contact drills yet.  I'll guess his 1st game will be Dec 14.  The start of a home stand and just in time to start showcasing him for the trading period.

I think so.

Amir isn't weak but he is on his 12th season in the NBA, which puts him on the decline.  You can see this in his minutes - he simply can't play long enough for them.

Olynyk acts like his dog just died.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Big men are dinosaurs in the NBA.

They can't succeed as two way players with these touch foul rules unless they're elite athletes.

Not to mention they don't get their fair share of calls on the offensive end either.

Olynyk will never change, he is what he is. He's glued to the floor, he's still an up fake machine, because he's frightened to get his shot blocked, he has to be one of the least athletic bigs in the NBA. He doesn't rebound, he's suspect defensively. His "point guard" skills show too seldom to be admired any longer. Kelly must not be signed at all.

Amir is just not a physical player, he's easily dismissed with one arm by most bigs in the league. He's visibly slowing down before our eyes. He has little energy, or offensive game.

Zeller is useful on the offensive end, and soft and just not effective on the defensive end. He's an end of the bench big on most teams. Like Kelly, he should be thankful he's 7 feet.

Jerebko is an ok backup being paid about what he's worth. At times he looks like a bargain, and other times he's invisible.

Mickey is young and looks lost and ineffective.

Answer to the OP question...a frustrated YES.

Scottie Pippen and Garaopolo are pretty good though

Olynyk is a great shooter, passer and improved his defense. I don't think the Celtics have the worse bigs in the NBA. That's the Nets.  ;)

Who won't shoot, however, his passivity is killing his game at times.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Yes. A trade has to come if want to win a playoff series. Bogut would be a great trade or if we could pry a big from the nugget. Crowder at the 4 May become a must for us to win most games. We Ave the chips and picks to fix this need.
