Oh man, if we could get one of Jokic/Nurkic... Much like in Philly, those two cannot play together, and they're both better than Noel/Okafor.

I hope those two figure it out together before Denver includes one as their centerpiece in a Cousins deal.  They've got the only coach who's he's completely bought into, and a lot of young players to package to SAC.

Cousins won't agree to a Denver trade anyways (they'd really be no better off than Sacramento is now), so I don't think that's something really to worry about. As little time as Cousins still has on his contract, his word about resigning is going to be key to any potential destination he gets traded to. He liked Malone, but I don't think he'd re-up there long-term. With what they'd have to give up to get him, they're probably not any more likely to reach that playoffs than the Kings.

Firstly, Cousins doesn't have to agree to a trade.
Secondly, Denver would like to make a splashy acquisition of some sort.  Getting Boogie would be right in their alley.
Thirdly, he really liked Malone.  I'm fairly sure he'd at least sign a couple year extension with them.

Yes, he does essentially have to agree to a trade. You're kidding yourself if you a think a player of Cousins' caliber doesn't have that kind of pull. Look at the love situation and him basically dictating where he went.

And, yes, Denver does want to make a splash and he did like Malone, but he's simply not going to jump from one team trying and failing to make the playoffs to another team hardly any better off. There'd be absolutely no point of him being traded in the first place then. He's not going to do that just because of Malone.

Besides, though it does sound like they're open to the idea of trading him, they're still apparently asking for way too much for him: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2674373-demarcus-cousins-trade-rumors-latest-news-speculation-surrounding-kings-star

We made them look like a lot less of a dumpster fire. For those that did not see the game how did their centers look?

Jokic did not start tonight. His numbers are down this year and it sure seems like he is getting lost in the rotation.

I'd still rather wait and see if we can get Davis or Cousins, but it really seems like Jokic has fallen out of favor and could be available.

Jokic was pretty good last year, is Nurkic really the reason why Jokic seems to be lost out there?

I still dont think they trade him yet, but it's definitely something to monitor.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

Yeah. I mean, if you think about it, Mike Malone coaching style is a slow, physical style of basketball. He is a defense-first coach who doesn't mind a plodding pace. Jokic is more of a finesse player. Whereas, Nurkic is Cousins-extra-lite (but weighs just as much). Faried makes a lot of sense as a starter in that style.

Then, if they do want to space the floor a bit, it makes more sense to play Gallinari or Chandler at the 4, instead of Jokic, because it gives them more defensive versatility.

On top of that, they like Arthur (big extension last summer) and they have another stretch big.

Right, that makes sense. So you think Jokic fits in better here, then? Sorry, I haven't watched much Nuggets basketball recently, so I'm not too familiar with how things are going over there.

Good question. CBS obviously prefers quickness, and Jokic is not that quick (not slow either).

However, his shooting and passing all would be a great fit. His rebounding and defense are ok. It seems like he could really develop well because of his IQ.

Hey, any shooting, passing, rebounding, and/or defending big is more than welcome to join the celtics! But yeah, he's a guy to keep looking at, for sure. I doubt they trade him, but nothing is impossible.
