One less team to worry about in the Tankathon, and Mitch deserves tons of credit. The Lakers are putting Philly to shame in a hurry, and they genuinely should feel good about the future.

 Jordan Clarkson #46 overall.

We drafted James Young at 17. Dwight Powell went #45. Fantastic pick.

Larry Nance Jr Went 27 overall, RJ Hunter went 28 in the same draft. Ouch. That stings a little.

Okafor was the easy, Lazy, heavily hyped guy that most expected to be a Laker. Mitch went with Dangelo and other than Iggy Azalea problems. Great pick.

Julius Randle. Easy pick at #7, but hey he didn't screw it up.

Final tank pick, Ingram should be a very good player in time. He looked good matching up against his clone, Durant.

And he overpaid Mozgov, Yes. But we overpaid Horford too, and it doesn't make it a bad move.

Bringing in Lou Williams, and Deng appear to be excellent pick ups as well. Great fits.

Tarik Black went undrafted and he's a beast that helps win games and I like the Zubac pick as well. Great job Mitch, teaching Philly how to rank.

He's doing alright.  I think Ingram fit them more than  us.  I agree Mozgov isn't as bad a signing as it seems. It could pay dividends for them in some way. It's an overpay for sure but I can understand the logic there in ways. They needed players.

I've heard people compare Jaylen to worthy.  I think jaylen is a star.  He reminds me more of reggie lewis.  Ingram always reminded me more of worthy in ways.  He has some kareem to his personality too.  Russell is the star there right now but Ingram definately has some serious potential.  It will be interesting who actually becomes the best player out of those two and who's team it is. Russell may be the leader where Ingram is that hidden talent that's actually a little better.

Those are two good building blocks.

Dwight Powell wasn't drafted by either Danny or Mitch. He was originally a Hornets pick that was send to Cleveland who was scrapped later and picked up by Danny. I think this year will be the last lottery pick of the Lakers. They may have improved but I doubt they will reach the playoffs this year.

Luke Walton also looks like a fantastic coach for the young Lakers squad. That should build them the identity of the team.

Yeah, they drafted better then Philly in my opinion to but still, I'm not sold on any of their young players. Randle should be a good player but he's not a game changer (like Smart). Ingram is not getting serious minutes already in a team fighting for not to be a dweller is a interesting thing. I know he's not there physically but hes playing what 10 minutes? Ok, they are bringing him slowly but then again to me those are signs that does not sound good. If you are not a serious team and you have No.2 pick in your team and you're not playing him... Nance is a good kid, he could be serviceable big off the bench. Clarkson is a solid version of Lou Williams with little better D. Russel is a good player but I don't like his motor, his defense and lack of athleticism. Another interesting thing, besides his questionable character, is he got no jumpshot. He's not jumping while he's shooting jumpers. Usual he get away with that because of his hight advantage vs smaller guards, but I don't like it...

Not true.  Ingram has played over 20 minutes in 4 of their 6 games.  One game he only played 4 minutes because of a knee injury scare early in the game.  So he's getting plenty of playing time for a young raw talent.

I'll take Embiid and Simmons over the Lakers young talent even though I really like Ingram.  Regarding Russell, the Sixers really wanted him but he was not available since the Lakers picked him.  If that had not happened, the Sixers would have most likely had Russell, Simmons and Embiid which would have been a very talented and balanced young core.

The problem with the Lakers is that they're still a very bad defensive team.  They're going to lose plenty of games this year because of it.

With Luke on board, I can see why did they overpay for Mosgov. I think the Lakers were signing him to be molded as this team's Bogut without the passing skills. And so far, they were having success with his role.

The Lakers look like mid to lower level playoff team when (if) their young guys reach their full potential.

I like Nance and Ingram. Clarkson, Russell, and Randle are not guys you can give big minutes to in a championship series because of their deficiencies.

Sorry, but there's no way to rationalize Mozgov's contract. None.

Not yet sold on most of LAL's young talent. That Mozgov contract was an abomination.

You do realize that Ingram is shooting 37.5% overall AND 15.4% from three, right?

Mozgov makes the Lakers better. In that sense it was a good move.

Mitch is really showing everyone that the best way to rebuild a team is having the 2nd pick overall in back to back years.

How many wins do you think this stellar group cobbles together this  season? It's easier to draft and develop guys when you miss the playoffs every single year. The degree of difficulty with which Danny has been doing things is much more impressive.
